GRT IMPRESS IN DTM SEASON OPENER

Grasser Racing’s performance at the DTM in Oschersleben this weekend made for a great start to the season. From 26th to 28th May, around 35,000 spectators enjoyed best summer weather in the Magdeburger Börde region to see the first round of the iconic championship live. The fans of the Austrian Lamborghini Team were not disappointed. Clemens Schmid impressed in every way on the DTM premiere of the new Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 with fifth place on Sunday. With this result, the Austrian was the best-placed of the five Lamborghini drivers in the field of 27 GT3 cars. Team-mate Mick Wishofer had a strong showing on his DTM debut with fourth place in Qualifying on Saturday. In the races though he was out of luck.

GRT ALL SET FOR THE DTM DEBUT OF THE NEW LAMBORGHINI HURICAN GT3 EVO2

Anticipation is half the pleasure, but Steve McQueen once taught us: Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting. For GRT, the long wait is finally over this weekend. From May 26 to 28, the Lamborghini Squadra Corse supported Team from Austria will kick off the 2023 DTM season. The races at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben mark the first of eight stops on this year’s calendar of the legendary championship. For Grasser Racing, the season opener does not only mean the next chapter of their DTM journey. The two Austrians Clemens Schmid and Mick Wishofer will also complete the DTM premiere of the new Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 sporting the colours of GRT.

AN AUSTRIAN NATIONAL SQUAD IN THE DTM: GRT SIGNS MICK WISHOFER AS TEAMMATE TO CLEMENS SCHMID

The bull from Styria will be wearing red-white-red in the DTM in 2023. The Grasser Racing Team from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld will take on the prestigious racing series this season with two Austrians. In addition to the Tyrolean Clemens Schmid, the second Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 of the racing outfit supported by Lamborghini Squadra Corse will be driven by Mick Wishofer from Vienna. The newcomer in the number 19 car will make his debut in the legendary championship at the official DTM test in Spielberg on April 15 and 16.

GRT EXTENDS POINTS SCORING STREAK IN SUNDAY’S DTM RACE AT IMOLA

GRT was presented with a challenging Sunday at the Lamborghini home race in Imola. After his spectacular fightback to a podium finish on the previous day, Mirko Bortolotti achieved a hard-fought tenth place in the second race. Clemens Schmid and the Lamborghini factory driver had taken P5 and P10 in qualifying with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO despite carrying extra weight. In a turbulent race, Mirko Bortolotti’s points result proved to be the maximum for Grasser Racing. In the driver standings, the Italian is in second position after three of eight race weekends. GRT is currently in fourth place in its debut year in the DTM.

GRT SHINES AT LAMBORGHINI HOME RACE IN THE DTM

Forza GRT! The Austrian Lamborghini team celebrated their best result to date in the legendary racing series in Saturday’s DTM race at Imola. In a fiercely contested heat battle at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Mirko Bortolotti and Clemens Schmid kept their cool until the chequered flag and took third and sixth place. Lamborghini factory driver Mirko Bortolotti made up no less than 13 positions in the field of 28 GT3 cars driving the #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO. Clemens Schmid had a strong start into the day with fourth place in qualifying and subsequently scored the first points of his DTM career in the race. In the overall standings, Mirko Bortolotti and Grasser Racing remain in second place.

GRT ARRIVES IN IMOLA CHASING THEIR FIRST WIN IN THE DTM

The third round of the 2022 DTM season is preparing a special kind of home fixture for GRT this coming weekend. For the Austrian Lamborghini team, the home races of Lamborghini in the prestigious GT3 series are on the agenda from 17 to 19 June. On the iconic Grand Prix circuit of Imola, GRT wants to build on its successful start to the season with their four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs. Mirko Bortolotti and his compatriot Alessio Deledda will compete as local heroes in Italy alongside their teammates Rolf Ineichen and Clemens Schmid.

GRT EXTENDS POINTS RUN IN THE DTM

Sunday’s DTM race at the Lausitzring brought GRT the next precious points haul in the fiercely contested championship. In the second race of the weekend, Lamborghini factory driver Mirko Bortolotti finished sixth in the field of 29 GT3 cars, as he had done the day before. For the Lamborghini team from St. Margarethen in Austria, this means the successful continuation of their points run in the DTM. In all four races so far, the squad has made it into the top-six with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO. In the drivers’ standings, Mirko Bortolotti is in second place after two of eight stops in the 2022 DTM season. GRT holds second place in the team standings as well.

GRT MAXIMISE THEIR POTENTIAL IN SATURDAY’S DTM RACE AT THE LAUSITZRING

The second stop of the DTM 2022 presented GRT with a tremendous challenge this Saturday. At the Lausitzring, the Austrian Lamborghini team not only had to master the infamous Turn 1. For both crews and drivers of the four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs, the assessment of the Italian GT3 machine within the regulations also provided an increased level of difficulty. However, the team did not let the tricky task upset them in the first race this weekend. Mirko Bortolotti made the most of sixth place in the field of 29 GT3 cars.

GRT ARRIVES TO THE LAUSITZRING FOR ROUND TWO OF THE 2022 DTM AS CHAMPIONSHIP LEADER

The 2022 DTM season got off to an almost perfect start for GRT in Portimão. After a pole position and two podiums by Lamborghini factory driver Mirko Bortolotti, the squad led by team principal Gottfried Grasser surges on with the first races in Germany this coming weekend. For the third and fourth race of this year’s DTM championship, the crews of the four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO will travel from Grasser Racing’s headquarters in Styria to the Lausitzring. On this familiar track, Mirko Bortolotti, Clemens Schmid, Rolf Ineichen and Alessio Deledda will be looking to build on their form from the first round of the season.

GRT TAKES OVER THE CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD IN THE DTM

Successful debut weekend for GRT in the DTM. The Lamborghini team from Austria departs from the season opener at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve with the championship lead in their bag. Lamborghini factory driver Mirko Bortolotti claimed another top result on Sunday carrying the success ballast of the previous day’s podium. After second place in qualifying, he steered the number 63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO to a commanding third place in the race. In the standings, the Italian and GRT are leading the drivers’ and team standings with 35 points. The next stop of the DTM 2022 will be at the Lausitzring from 20th to 22nd May.

DTM PODIUM FOR MIRKO BORTOLOTTI AFTER STRONG COMEBACK

Bittersweet debut for GRT in the DTM. In Saturday’s race at the season opener on the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Mirko Bortolotti claimed a podium for the Lamborghini team from Austria in a dramatic race. In the morning, the Italian had sensationally clinched his first pole position in the DTM, which was also the first for GRT and Lamborghini. In the race, the driver of the number 63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO was on course for victory until a safety car phase. A temporary problem cost him the lead. In the final phase, the Lamborghini works driver made his way back onto the podium in a hard fought battle with Mercedes-driver Maro Engel. With third place, he ensured a conciliatory result.

GRT AND LAMBORGHINI ALL GEARED UP FOR THE DTM 2022 SEASON OPENER IN PORTIMAO

The past months of relentless work and intensive preparations have all been dedicated to this one moment: Next weekend, from 29 April to 1 May, the eagerly awaited DTM adventure begins for GRT in Portugal with the first of eight events. At the season opener on the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão, the Lamborghini team from Austria will face the toughest GT3 series in the world for the first time. A field of 29 GT3 cars from six manufacturers will meet for the first test of strength. The week in Southern Europe has more than its share of challenges for the newcomers to the DTM. In the run-up to the race action, the crews of the four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs are scheduled for the second official test days.

GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM TO CONTEST DTM IN 2022

GRT and Lamborghini Squadra Corse set their sights on new horizons. The Austrian outfit and the Italian sports car manufacturer will take their successful collaboration to the next level in 2022 by entering the DTM. A quartet of Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs will mark the start of a new chapter in the prestigious GT3 Series, with the number 63 car to be piloted by an official Lamborghini factory driver. The complete line-up will be announced in due course.

Game, set and match for Team GRT Grasser Racing! The Austrian squad put their stamp on the ADAC GT Masters at the weekend in Hockenheim with a brace of victories and pole positions. At the legendary grand prix circuit in south-west Germany, Mirko Bortolotti and Marco Mapelli finally ended the long spell without a win in the Super Sports Car League for the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO. The Lamborghini works drivers secured the first triumph in the ADAC GT Masters since 2019 for GRT Grasser Racing and Lamborghini Squadra Corse.

HECTIC WEEKEND FOR GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM IN EUROPE AND AMERICA

October is leaving Team GRT Grasser Racing with no time to relax as summer turns to autumn. After competing in the ADAC GT Masters at the Sachsenring, the Austrian outfit was back in action globally again over the weekend with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO. GRT Grasser Racing’s crews faced season finales on two continents with the GT World Challenge Europe and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM MISS OUT ON BIG CHANCE AT THE SACHSENRING

Team GRT Grasser Racing had a tough time during the fifth round of the 2021 ADAC GT Masters at weekend. The Austrian outfit once again showed strong pace with their four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs at the Sachsenring, but results did not live up to their high expectations in the end. A place on the front row of the grid and P4 for Lamborghini pro driver Franck Perera and Silver class driver Rolf Ineichen in Sunday’s race were only small consolation for a missed opportunity.

TALENTED NEWCOMER AT GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM: HUGO SASSE SET TO GIVE FRESH IMPETUS IN ADAC GT MASTERS

GRT Grasser Racing have taken on another promising young talent in order to beef up their team in the ADAC GT Masters. Hugo Sasse will compete in the Super Sports Car League alongside Lamborghini Junior Tim Zimmermann as the season reaches its frantic climax. This new driver pairing will debut in the #82 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO at the Sachsenring and contest all remaining events together.

GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM LOSES PODIUM IN LAST MINIUTE: NO LUCK IN GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE ENDURANCE CUP

GRT Grasser Racing Team announced their return from the summer break by throwing down the gauntlet this weekend at the Nürburgring. Clemens Schmid, Kikko Galbiati and Tim Zimmermann fought for top positions in the high-calibre GT3 series right from the start of this fourth round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, but after securing pole position in the Silver Cup, the team did not get the top result that was so well deserved. Their Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO was knocked out of the race in an unfortunate collision just before the chequered flag.

GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM REINFORCES ZANDVOORT LINE-UP WITH FOUR LAMBORGHINI WORKS DRIVERS

After an intensely busy few weeks in the USA, the GRT Grasser Racing Team can now look forward to a well-deserved trip to seaside. Next stop after Watkins Glen is Zandvoort on the Dutch North Sea coast and the good vibes that come from renewing the chase for the 2021 ADAC GT Masters title. Rounds five and six of this year’s Super Sports Car League are due to be hosted by the Netherlands next weekend (9th – 11th July). Team principal Gottfried Grasser and his crew are aiming for a first win of the season and have therefore recruited from Italy to reinforce the squad manning their four-strong fleet of Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO cars.

TEAM GRT GRASSER RACING GOING FOR THEIR FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON IN ADAC GT MASTERS

Two reasons to be cheerful better than one! GRT Grasser Racing have good grounds to be really looking forward to this next weekend in the 2021 ADAC GT Masters, as the second round in the Super Sports Car League will be a home fixture for the team and their Lamborghinis (June 11th-13th). Races 3 and 4 are scheduled to take place at Spielberg’s Red Bull Ring just a stone’s throw away from team headquarters in Knittelfeld. After making a strong start to the season, the four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs are going for their first win of the year. This weekend would be the perfect opportunity for team boss Gottfried Grasser and team as they welcome fans, friends and sponsors back to Styria for the first time in two years.
