THE HEART OF RACING HEADS TO TEXAS FOR COTA SRO

The Heart of Racing (HOR) will head to the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) May 19-21 for the next round of SRO Pirelli GT4 America and GT America powered by AWS competition. The series returns to the Texas track for the first time since 2021, as Gray Newell and the No. 25 Aston Martin team are chasing the championship lead and enter the weekend third in GT America championship points. 

BMW M MOTORSPORT TEAMS READY AND RARING TO GO THE THE NURBURGRING 24 HOURS

BMW M Motorsport enjoys a long success story at the Nürburgring 24 Hours (GER). This weekend, the BMW M4 GT3 takes to the track in the ‘Green Hell’ to add another chapter to that illustrious history. A strong contingent races in the top SP9 Pro category, with ROWE Racing, BMW M Team RMG and Walkenhorst Motorsport, as well as 14 BMW M works drivers. The goal is to claim the 21st overall victory for BMW, strengthening its status as the most successful manufacturer at the endurance classic on the Nordschleife. 

LAGUNA SECA PODIUM FOR PORSCHE PENSKE MOTORSPORT

Porsche Penske Motorsport has achieved another podium result in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. At the wheel of the No. 6 Porsche 963, Nick Tandy from the UK and Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet secured second place at round four in Laguna Seca. In the GTD class, the customer team Kellymoss with Riley put in an inspired drive to clinch victory and third place. The Porsche 911 GT3 R fielded by Pfaff Motorsports brought home third in the GTD-Pro category.

WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS CELEBRATES IMPRESSIVE DRIVE, STRONG FINISH AT LAGUNA SECA

Sunday afternoon at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, the team behind the Wright Motorsports No. 77 Porsche put on an impressive performance in round four of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. After starting on the last row in 15th position, drivers Alan Brynjolfsson and Trent Hindman finished the two-hour and forty-minute sprint race in sixth place, earning their best finish of the season to date after taking delivery of their new Porsche 911 GT3 R.

BMW M TEAM RLL QUALIFIES SEVENTH AND EIGHTH AT LAGUNA SECA

BMW M Team RLL will start tomorrow’s IMSA MOTUL Course de Monterey from the seventh and eighth GTP class positions. With a qualifying time of 1:15.648 minutes around the 2.238-mile, 11-turn Laguna Seca circuit, Connor De Phillippi will start the No. 25 BMW M Hybrid V8 seventh. He will co-drive with Nick Yelloly, the duo looking for a third consecutive podium finish. Philipp Eng qualified the No. 24 BMW M Hybrid V8 in the eighth position after a 1:15.747-minute lap. He will co-drive with Augusto Farfus. Both BMWs qualified within one-second of the pole-sitting Porsche 963.

THREE POLE POSITIONS IN THREE CLASSES FOR PORSCHE AT LAGUNA SECA

On the back of the first-ever win for the Porsche 963 at the previous round in Long Beach, the new hybrid prototype from Weissach has now notched up its first pole position: in qualifying at Laguna Seca, factory driver Matt Campbell dominated the qualifying in Laguna Seca at the wheel of the No. 7 car fielded by Porsche Penske Motorsport followed closely by his brand colleague Mathieu Jaminet. For the race, the Australian, who topped the time sheets in both practice sessions, shares the cockpit of the 500+ kW (680 PS) vehicle with Felipe Nasr from Brazil. Jaminet shares driving duties in the No. 6 car with Nick Tandy from the UK. In the GTD-Pro class, Klaus Bachler secured the best grid position in Pfaff Motorsports’ Porsche 911 GT3 R. Alec Udell from the USA achieved the same in the GTD category in the identical model campaigned by Kellymoss with Riley.

PORSCHE PENSKE MOTORSPORT IS KEEN TO CONTINUE ITS CLEAR UPWARD TREND AT LAGUNA SECA

The Porsche Penske Motorsport works team is keen to continue its upward trend in North America with the two 500+ kW (680 PS) Porsche 963. After its victory at Long Beach in mid-April, the factory squad is now eager to climb the podium again at round four of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The customer team JDC-Miller MotorSports fields a Porsche 963 in the top GTP class for the first time in the race over two hours and 40 minutes on the Laguna Seca Raceway. In the two GTD categories, four customer teams campaign a total of five Porsche 911 GT3 R.
