The #1 Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 took victory in the opening race at Zandvoort, the ninth race of the 2019 GT4 European Series season. After 31 laps round the Dutch circuit, Nicolaj Møller-Madsen and Cédric Freiburghaus claimed their first victory of the season. Marius Zug and Gabriele Piana were victorious in the Pro-Am class, while Alessandro Giovanelli and Bob Herber took the win in the Am class.

After a one-year hiatus, the GT4 European Series returns to Zandvoort this weekend, as it enters the final phase of the 2019 season. In total no fewer than 31 will be on the grid at the popular Dutch circuit with its fast, sweeping corners. The race weekend at the North Sea coast is the fifth of the six race meetings on the 2019 GT4 European Series calendar.

Round two of the 2019 GT4 European Series takes place this weekend at the 3.9km Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit (4 – 5 May). The series makes its third successive visit to the British circuit, with 34 cars entered for what promises to be a spectacular Bank Holiday weekend in the United Kingdom.

The GT4 European Series Silver and Pro-Am titles will be decided in tomorrow’s final race of the season after a very exciting first race at the Nürburgring today. Beitske Visser and Nico Menzel (#110 RN Vision STS BMW M4 GT4) capped a perfect race with their second victory of the season. The final race promises to be a thriller, with the HHC Motorsport and MDM Motorsport drivers level on points at the top after today’s race. Markus Lungstrass took a major step towards the Pro-Am championship title by winning his class, while Niki Leutwiler became the first driver to seal the title in the Am category.

Beitske Visser and Nico Menzel took their victory in the 2018 GT4 European Series at the Hungaroring today. They beat teammates Gabriele Piana and Razvan Umbrarescu in an RN Vision STS 1-2 finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix circuit. Victory in the Pro-Am class went to Racing One’s Jules Szymkowiak and Markus Lungstrass again, with Allied-Racing’s Nicolas Schöll also claiming his second win of the weekend in the Am class.

MDM Motorsport drivers Max Koebolt and Simon Knap won the first GT4 European Series race at the Hungaroring after heading the field home in a shortened rain-affected race. A heavy rain shower during the pit window resulted in different strategies and MDM Motorsport’s gamble to stay out on slicks eventually paid off when the race was stopped due to the dangerous conditions. Racing One’s Jules Szymkowiak and Markus Lungstrass and Allied-Racing’s Nicolas Schöll claimed class wins with similar strategies.

Last weekend’s sensational triumph for Walkenhorst Motorsport at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (BEL) with the BMW M6 GT3 was the highlight of the 2018 season so far from a BMW Customer Racing point of view. After seven months of race action, it has been a more than positive year to date for the three BMW M Motorsport customer race cars: the BMW M6 GT3, the new BMW M4 GT4 and the BMW M235i Racing have enjoyed plenty of success and thrilled motorsport fans around the world. Phoenix Racing and CMR were victorious in the two GT4 European Series races at Spa-Francorchamps today. Nicolaj Møller-Madsen and Milan Dontje won the opening race in the morning before Stéphane Tribaudini and Pierre-Alexandre Jean gave the Alpine A110 GT4 its first international victory in the second race of the weekend. Class victories in the two races went to Racing One and Bullitt Racing in Pro-Am and TFT Racing and Muehlner Motorsport in the Am category. The fourth round of the 2018 GT4 European Series was part of the SRO Speedweek.

CMR drivers Stéphane Tribaudini and Pierre-Alexandre Jean set the pace in today’s qualifying sessions at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The two French drivers, driving the brand new Alpine A110 GT4, were fastest in their respective sessions. Racing One’s Markus Lungstrass and Bullitt Racing’s Andy Meyrick claimed the Pro-Am poles for this weekend’s races, with Muehlner Motorsport’s Moritz Kranz and CMR’s David Loger setting the fastest times in the Am qualifying sessions.

Round three of the GT4 European Series season brought the teams to the Misano World Circuit in Italy last week. It was a weekend with extremes. High temperatures on the two race days and heavy rain during practice. The two thrilling races provided new overall race winners in the form of RN Vision STS and Equipe Verschuur and as usual the paddock was buzzing again.

Equipe Verschuur drivers Finlay Hutchison and Ricardo van der Ende secured their first GT4 European Series win of the season at the Misano World Circuit today. Starting from fourth on the grid, Hutchison moved into the lead early in the race, before handing the McLaren 570S GT4 to Van der Ende. The Dutchman then drove it to the finish, to claim Equipe Verschuur’s and McLaren’s first win in the series. RN Vision STS won Pro-Am, TFT Racing claimed victory in the Am class.
