Whelen Engineering drivers Pipo Derani (Brazil), Tristan Nunez (Boynton Beach, Fla.) and Mike Conway (Great Britain) are running seventh halfway through the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Pipo Derani (quadruple stint). He started his first stint third and finished his fourth stint fourth. Ran as high as second.

“It was good,” Derani said of his quadruple stint. “I think we were able to save some sets of tires by double stinting and with the cautions. So far so good. We were also able to change the brakes, which is what we wanted to do at some point in the race and we were able to do it under that last yellow. So, that was positive.”
