Schubert Motorsport is going on the offensive in season ten of the ADAC GT Masters. The team from Oschersleben will field two new BMW M4 GT3 and is counting on a mixture of experience and youthful zest in its driver line-up. BMW works drivers Jesse Krohn (31/FIN) and Nicky Catsburg (34/NL) share one cockpit, while two highly-talented young drivers – Niklas Krütten (19/Trier) and Ben Green (24/UK) – will be at the wheel of the second BMW. The ADAC GT Masters kicks off the new season from 22nd to 24th April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.

Jesse Krohn has been a BMW works driver since 2018. Last year, the Finn finished eighth in the German GT Championship. “We have high expectations with the new BMW M4 GT3 and I am confident that we can build on the success of last year. Nicky and I will do our best to achieve the team’s goals,” said the 31-year-old. Nicky Catsburg is regarded as an all-rounder when it comes to sports car and touring car racing. One of his greatest successes was victory at the 2020 Nürburgring 24 Hours and the title in the Intercontinental GT Challenge. To date, the 34-year-old has driven in ten races in the ADAC GT Masters and finished on the podium on three occasions. “It is a great pleasure for me to return to the ADAC GT Masters with Schubert Motorsport. We have high expectations and in Jesse I have a strong team-mate, with whom I really enjoy working together,” said the Dutchman, clearly looking forward to the new challenge. The two BMW works drivers will miss the start of the season, as delivery of their BMW M4 GT3 has been delayed.

For the two promising youngsters in the second car, the GT3 adventure begins with the opening round of the German GT Championship in Oschersleben. The ADAC GT Masters is uncharted territory for Niklas Krütten and Ben Green. However, they have already gained valuable experience in other series. Last season, former ADAC Stiftung Sport driver Krütten made his debut in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the European Le Mans Series, in which he finished runner-up in both the Driver and Team competitions. “The ADAC GT Masters is one of the strongest GT3 series in the world and I am looking forward to embarking on this new chapter in my career with Schubert Motorsport. I want to learn as quickly as possible and am confident that Schubert Motorsport will put everything in place with the BMW M4 GT3 to make that possible,” said the 19-year-old.

His partner behind the wheel, Ben Green, is the reigning DTM Trophy champion and has already tasted victory with the BMW M4 GT4 in his homeland. The Brit gained his first experience of GT3 racing three years ago, when he contested eight races in the British GT Championship with the BMW M6 GT3. “I am very happy to be racing for Schubert Motorsport in the BMW M4 GT3 this season. The team has performed strongly in the ADAC GT Masters for the past two years, and has thus put itself in a competitive position. I am confident that we will have a strong package with the new car,” said the Brit, looking ahead confidently to the new season.

Team manager Marcel Schmidt is also optimistic: “The BMW M4 GT3 offers us a new project with new opportunities, and we are happy to have Jesse and Nicky on board. They have the talent and experience to drive this project forward. In Niklas and Ben, we also line up with two promising youngsters. We want to give these talented young drivers the opportunity to establish themselves in a professional environment on the GT3 scene. We would obviously have liked to start the first race of the season with both cars. Unfortunately, we are waiting on delivery of another BMW M4 GT3. Despite this, we feel ready and are looking forward to the new challenges that lie ahead.”
