Team Redline Racing will be targeting Pro Am title glory in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this season with the signing of 2021 class race-winner Nathan Harrison.

After finishing as Pro Am runners-up last year, the Teesside squad are determined to taste success this time around. Harrison will spearhead their challenge as he builds on everything he learnt during an impressive debut campaign last year.

The highly-rated talent showed great speed and potential through his first season in rear wheel drive GT racing. A brilliant run of three class wins in a row was the highlight of a season that produced a total of nine podium finishes and fourth in the final points standings.

Prior to entering Porsches, the 25 year old made a name for himself in the MINI Challenge. Winning the Cooper class in 2015, he then showed remarkable consistency in the headline JCW class to finish as vice-champion on three occasions before winning the title in 2020.

The Oxford based driver will race in the Carrera Cup GB this season with the support of loyal personal sponsors Warburtons, Alloygator Auto Protection, BIMC, Botley Windscreens and Executive Alarms.

Simon Leonard – Managing Director: “We’re very pleased to get the opportunity to race with Nathan this season. He was one of the most exciting new drivers in the championship last year and picked up some great results.

“We’re excited to see what he can achieve in the new car this season and we’re confident we can provide the package he needs to challenge for the Pro Am title.”

Nathan Harrison: “It was a very simple decision to join Redline for this season. They are the most experienced team on the grid and their results speak for themselves.

“2021 was a difficult season for me, moving from front to rear wheel drive and having quite a lot of bad luck, so I think we did a good job to end up with many wins and podiums in Pro Am. My target for this year is quite simple and that is to win the class title. I believe I’ve got the team behind me now and it’s just about giving it everything I’ve got to get the job done.

“I’m so grateful to have joined Redline and for all of my partners for giving me this opportunity. I just can’t wait to get started.”

Entering its 20th year in 2022, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB is one of the most competitive and exciting championships in the UK. Utilising identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, the series has been the launchpad for a number of professional sportscar and GT drivers.

The 2022 season will be contested over eight events at the best circuits in the UK, all in support of the British Touring Car Championship with live television coverage on ITV4. The opening rounds take place at Donington Park on 23/24 April.
