B-Quik Racing Co. Ltd. TM (“B-Quik Racing”) heads for the second round of Thailand Super Series (“TSS”) 2019, which takes place at Buriram’s Chang International Circuit this coming weekend, in upbeat mood following our best ever start to a racing season that has already netted us a trio of wins.

We will have a slight adjustment to our driver line up in Super Car GT3 for this round as Martin Rump is being drafted into our #2 Audi R8 LMS Ultra alongside Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik. Henk Kiks and Daniel Bilski, meanwhile, will drive the new #26 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo as usual and a quarter of our Junior Programme drivers will also be in action.

The team will make a return trip up to the North East this week following our GT AM Cup victory here in Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia just over three weeks ago. Henk and Daniel claimed a sensational victory against some of the toughest competition in Asia after a race where we had to dig deeper and fight harder than probably ever before.

The win in Blancpain GT World Challenge’s Race 2 at Buriram coupled to a trip to the podium following a third-place finish in Race 1 makes it an incredible five podiums on the trot for the new-for-2019 “Evo” as we enjoy our best ever start to a racing season. That breaks down to three wins and two third places: two GT3 AM Cup wins in Blancpain GT World Challenge and one win in Thailand Super Series. Henk and Daniel also have two AM Cup wins in TSS. And it’s only the start of June!

This year, unleashed by the arrival of our dramatic new Audi R8 LMS GT3 “Evo”, Henk and Daniel are driving better than they ever have, digging into themselves to reach the next level – and that was our objective for the year, to take the team to the next chapter in every area. This weekend they lead the team into the second round of ‘TSS 2019’ with a small advantage at the top of the Super Car GT3 Drivers’ and Teams’ standings.

Meanwhile, in our second Super Car GT3 entry, the #2 Audi R8 LMS Ultra, Sandy will be partnered this weekend by Martin Rump. The 23-year-old Estonian driver is one of the rising young sportscar stars racing in Asia and this year he’s an official Audi Sport Asia driver and ‘driver mentor’ in the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup series. As well as undoubted pace and talent he brings a lot of experience of the Audi R8 LMS to the equation and we expect this highly competitive young driver line up to be pitching for victory.

The ‘B-Quik Junior Programme’ will also be in action this weekend with four drivers taking part. ‘Tier 1’ drivers Narin Naeosathon and Sathaporn Veerachue will share the #26 Dodge Challenger in TA2 Thailand, their second outing this year after taking part in the season-opener in Sepang, while in Super Eco our ‘Tier 2’ duo, Pongtanu Kamsai (#25) and Adisak Tangphuncharoen (#26) will both be behind the wheel of Honda Brios as they kick off their first races of the year and their second season racing in the entry-level ‘Eco’ category.

The programme for the second round of TSS 2019 at Chang International Circuit will see practice and qualifying this Friday (7 June) before Race 1 for all categories take place on Saturday (8 June). The schedule will conclude with Race 2 on Sunday (9 June).

Henk Kiks (#26 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, Super Car GT3): “We’ve had a very good start to the year and we need make sure we build on that this weekend, there aren’t going to be any easy races this year and the competition is going to be even tougher for this round. Podiums and maximising points are clearly the targets for the weekend and the whole team is really up for it. We’re also very pleased to welcome Martin Rump to the team, he’s going to be the perfect partner for Sandy in the Ultra and we expect good results from this car. Now let’s get on, work hard and hopefully we can carry on the momentum we’ve enjoyed so far this year.”

Daniel Bilski (#26 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, Super Car GT3): “After a fantastic start to the season, we come into TSS this week full of confidence. But more importantly, with a deep desire and need to do better. We are taking nothing for granted. The grid will be fierce, the competition super tight, so we know we have to dig deep, focus and push ourselves to new limits. We’re ready.”

Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik (#2 Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3, Super Car GT3): “I’m looking forward to the upcoming race alongside Martin Rump in the #2 Audi R8. I’m confident that we will be a strong pairing and a formidable force in the races at Buriram. I feel focused and ready, now I just can’t wait to jump back into the car.”

Martin Rump (#2 Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3, Super Car GT3): “I’m thrilled to participate in my first ever Thailand Super Series race weekend, first time in the Audi R8 LMS Ultra. I really enjoy Buriram for the track as well as the atmosphere, so I’m glad to be back. I look forward to a fun and successful weekend with B-Quik!”

Narin Naeosathon (#26 Dodge Challenger, TA2 Thailand): “I’m going to be very happy to back on track in Buriram again but I must be really ready for races. The Dodge has more power but it has a big body that needs a lot of skill to drive. However, we’ve learned a lot from Sepang so we expect better results here. We’ll try our best.”

Sathaporn Veerachue (#26 Dodge Challenger, TA2 Thailand): “I’m very excited for the upcoming races. I learned a lot and got a lot of good experiences in Sepang. I will learn from my mistakes and know how to resolve them in next race. I’ve tested the TA2 car in Buriram before and also include experiences in the Honda Brio at this track so I think we can get a good result here. We’d like to run #26 Dodge Challenger to cross the finish line in both races. I’ll do my best and also my teammate Narin will be doing his best, so we will work hard to get a good result.”
