Raton Racing by Target is set for the sixth and penultimate round of the International GT Open, hosted this weekend at the Montmeló circuit. In Spain the team led by Roberto Tanca doubles again, fielding a second OPPO backed Lamborghini Huracán GT3 car for Christoph Lenz and newcomer Franck Perera.
Swiss driver Lenz makes his return to the series, after he took part in the first three events at Le Castellet, Hockenheim and Spa-Francorchamps, sharing the duties with Alberto Di Folco. Frenchman Perera, a Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory driver, makes his debut in the GT Open.
The other machine will be piloted by Liang Jiatong and Raffaele Giammaria, who claimed a brilliant sixth overall position and their second class victory of the season in the recent event at Silverstone, taking the third place in the Pro-Am category, 28 points behind the leader Tom Onslow-Cole/Valentin Pierburg.
Qualifying one gets underway tomorrow morning, followed by the first 70-minute race scheduled at 16.10. The second qualifying session will start on Sunday at 9.30, with the one-hour race two at 14.20. Live streaming at gtopen.net.
