The Paul Miller Racing team will be hoping for some help tomorrow at Lime Rock Park, with the No. 1 Quartz Engine Oil-backed BMW M4 GT3 qualifying seventh.

The 1.5-mile circuit at Lime Rock is notoriously hard to pass, but the Paul Miller Racing duo of Madison Snow and Bryan Sellers will be looking for any way to work their way to the front of the field after a qualifying result that left the pair starting seventh on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD grid.

Despite the difficulty passing at Lime Rock, Sellers and Snow have worked their way forward before, qualifying seventh last year and ultimately finishing second in the weather-shortened race. While the lightning solidified their podium finish, the No. 1 team used an off-sequence strategy and brilliant defending by Snow amidst challenges from pro drivers, to leapfrog several of the cars that started ahead and put them in genuine contention for a podium—with or without the weather’s interference.

“Last year we were beneficiaries of some divine intervention here at Lime Rock and this year we might need some more of that too!” Paul Miller Racing team owner, Paul Miller, said.

“It’s going to take getting creative with strategy to pull off another podium finish, but we were able to put ourselves in that position last year and work our way through the field, so hopefully we can make it happen again tomorrow.

“We’re going to have a lot of support at this race, we have a fair number of guests coming from the dealership and I know Madison and Bryan want to put on a show for our employees and our customers and their families.”

“Some days just don’t go exactly according to plan in racing. I really thought after the second practice that we would be really good in qualifying, but unfortunately we ended up seventh after that session. It sucks, but all we can do is regroup and work to move forward. We managed to do it last year and I really think with this team we can do it again. We’re good on pit stops, we have good engineers, and I know that Bryan and I are going to give it our all out there tomorrow.”
