B-QUIK RACING ABSOLUTE SEASON ENDS WITH A CHRISTMAS WEEKEND IN BURIRAM

A long, hot action packed Christmas weekend at Chang International Circuit has just finished, the final round of Thailand Super Series 2021 is a wrap and it’s been quite a weekend for B-Quik Absolute Racing. We end the year as vice champions in the Super Car GT3 Drivers’ and Teams’ championship!

There’s a stack of positives to take away from this unique triple header as we head into the close season break and start preparing for 2022. Both Sandy Stuvik and Eshan Pieris in the No 1 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo and Daniel Bilski and Martin Rump in the sister No 26 Audi performed superbly all week, a very well-rounded roster of drivers that blends speed and experience, youth and maturity.

We were delighted to welcome Eshan to the team for the first time and the young Sri Lankan driver on his debut in a GT3 level car was very quickly into the groove and he showed great pace all weekend. He brought a lot to the team and Eshan is a driver we are already looking forward to returning to us in the future.

This year the team has continued to make huge strides in every area and that gives us a great platform as we look to move up to yet another level of professionalism in 2022.

The weekend was certainly tough as we had to fight against cars that were quicker than us and we had to work hard to maximise every single detail in order to remain in the hunt for the titles right to the last race. To emerge with the vice-champion’s positions in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ standings was a very good reward for all that effort.

The weekend gave us a pole position for Race 2 and a superb second place finish while both cars made multiple visits to the podiums and finished every race in to points which allowed us to pull in a stack of championship points.

In Super Car GTM, meanwhile, Warren and Andrew Adulayavichitr enjoyed a superb weekend in the No 66 Autowerks B-Quik Porsche 991 GT3 Cup. The two brothers, racing in GTM for the first time together, were on the AM and Porsche Sprint Cup podiums all weekend.

Finally, the B-Quik Junior Programme enjoyed a winning weekend that netted trophies and the championship title in Super Eco.

B-Quik Absolute Racing ends 2021 in a buoyant frame of mind and once the New Year break is over we will be immediately turning our attention to next season. Stay tuned!
