A new season starts for us, so once again we head to Silverstone for the Vintage Sports Car Club Pomeroy Tophy meeting.
Our meeting point is the Silverstone Racing Club, where we have a quick coffee and bite to eat before collecting our photographer tabards. We then take a look around the paddock, there’s always a few cars that really catch the eye, and it doesn’t take me long to have a favourite, Gareth Williams Porsche 904 Replica, looks good and sounds good too.
Before we know it, it’s time for lunch so back to the Silverstone Racing Club we go. It’s quite a cold day, so filling up on coffee and food sounds like the right thing to do. Lunch time soon passes so we head trackside to start talking photographs, a selection is shown below and we hope you enjoy them.
We are lucky that we get to many club meeting events during the year. I know many who look at the website only attend larger events. But you really should try the club meetings. There are so many held in the UK over the course of a season. It’s a chance to see such a wide variety of cars up close as most meetings have paddock access. In most cases, races are short so you can have approximately 10 races per meeting, the entrance fee is usually quite low to. So go on, support you local clubbie by attending a few meetings.
