HARPER CLOSES IN ON PORSCHE CARRERA CUP GB TITLE WITH POLE AT SILVERSTONE

On a weekend that could see 18-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior Dan Harper (JTR) secure the 2019 Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship title, the teenager stormed to his sixth pole position of the season. A closely contested qualifying on Silverstone’s fast National circuit saw championship contender Josh Webster (Team Parker Racing) occupying the top of the timesheet for much of the session, however, a late charge from Porsche GB Junior Harper beat Webster and George Gamble (Amigos Redline Racing) to pole – just 0.025secs separating the top two. Porsche GB Junior Harper will share the front row with Webster, his other championship rival, Lewis Plato (Motorbase Performance), will start tomorrow’s race from row three of the grid in P5.

THRILLS AND SPILLS FOR AUDI IN BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA FINALE

After an overall win for the four rings in round 11 of Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia, an incident-filled round 12 proved to be a challenging outing for the Audi teams. After a strong fifth place in round 11, Chen Weian and Rahel Frey recovered from a starting position of 18th in round 12 to finish their maiden Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia campaign on a high. The Audi Sport Asia Team TSRT duo stormed through the field to cross the line seventh after 60 minutes of racing at the Shanghai International Circuit in China.

TIO ELLINAS TOPS PORSCHE CARRERA CUP GB FRIDAY PRACTICE AT SILVERSTONE

Reigning Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion Tio Ellinas (Redline Racing) made a spectacular return to the championship, setting the fastest time of the day during Friday’s practice sessions at Silverstone. 2018 Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion Ellinas lapped Silverstone’s fast National circuit in 54.971, ending the day marginally ahead of championship challenger Lewis Plato (Motorbase Performance) and George Gamble (Amigos Redline Racing) – just 0.137secs separating the trio. Mixed conditions throughout the day saw both morning and afternoon sessions interrupted by rain, the slippery circuit preparing the field for a weekend forecast to include unpredictable spells of wet weather.

PORSCHE TACKLES KYALAMI DEBUT WITH FIVE 911 GT3 R AND A STRONG DRIVER LINEUP

Porsche heads to the final round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge season in South Africa with a top contingent of four 911 GT3 R in the pro category, another vehicle in the amateur class and twelve drivers from the factory and junior driver squads. For the nine-hour race at the Kyalami circuit on 24 November, the customer teams GPX Racing, Dinamic Motorsport, Frikadelli Racing and Team 75 Bernhard will each field a 500+hp GT3 vehicle from Weissach. In the overall standings, Porsche tackles the final round still holding chances to claim the manufacturers’ title. The winning trio at Bathurst – works driver Dirk Werner (Germany) and the two Porsche Young Professionals Matt Campbell (Australia) and Dennis Olsen (Norway) – are just ten points shy of the drivers’ classification leader.

CRAFT-BAMBOO RACING HEADS TO BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA SEASON FINALE IN SHANGHAI

Craft-Bamboo Racing heads to the Shanghai International Circuit this weekend for the season finale of the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia with high expectations. The team has high hopes for the season finale, where in 2017, the team took overall victory in the GT3 class after a scintillating drive in wet conditions. After having a competitive season so far, the team is looking to increase the tally of wins and ending the season with strong results.

WHO WILL BE THE THE BEST ADAC GT MASTERS JUNIOR OF 2019?

The ADAC GT Masters is looking to crown its super talent of 2019. Who will win the Pirelli Junior classification? The winner will receive 22 sets of slicks from tyre partner, Pirelli, but victory in the Junior stakes has also proved to be a stepping-stone to a works contract in recent times. The Junior champions from the past three years, Connor De Phillippi, Jules Gounon and Sheldon van der Linde, have all been signed by manufacturers following success in the ADAC GT Masters. Nine drivers will still be fighting to see who can win the Junior title In this weekend’s Sachsenring finale. The front-runner is also the youngest in the field – Audi driver, Ricardo Feller (19, CH, Montaplast by Land Motorsport).

24H SERIES PRESENTS 2020 CALENDAR

Four current Formula 1-circuits, one former Grand Prix circuit, an exciting new addition with a lot of prestige and another highly popular venue: these are the ingredients of the spectacular calendar of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook for 2020. While the series keeps its successful events at Dubai Autodrome, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, rounds at two world-famous tracks have been added: Italy’s Autodromo Nazionale Monza and the legendary Nürburgring in Germany will both be hosting their inaugural 24H SERIES rounds next year. The final new addition is the Anneau du Rhin in the French Alsace region, the former test circuit of the famous Bugatti brand. Again, there will be two separate championships, both powered by Hankook: the 24H SERIES Europe and the 24H SERIES Continents.

The Girona native will contest the fifth round of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup to take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Forné is completing a remarkable 2019 season stepping onto the class podium at the 24 hours of Spa and now aims for another podium finish behind the wheel of the Raton Racing by Target-entered Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO 2019 with his teammates Constantini and Lenz.
