The Girona native will contest the fifth round of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup to take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Forné is completing a remarkable 2019 season stepping onto the class podium at the 24 hours of Spa and now aims for another podium finish behind the wheel of the Raton Racing by Target-entered Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO 2019 with his teammates Constantini and Lenz.

Toni Forné heads to the season finale of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, which is the closest GT3 championship of the motorsport planet with multiple factory-backed teams. Barcelona will be a very special moment as it will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in front of his home crowd. Besides, its home round will be another morale booster to fight for the Vice-Champion title in the AM class.

The Catalan driver is delivering strong performances in his Raton Racing by Target-run Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO 2019. Teaming up with Stefano Constantini and Christoph Lenz, Forné kicked off the season in style with a second place finish at Monza and continued with a fourth place at Silverstone and another sixth-place finish at Paul Ricard 1000km. At the famous Spa 24 hours event, Forné and his teammates finished third after an extremely difficult rain-marred race. The drivers of Raton Racing by Target arrives in Barcelona with Vice-Championship in their sights.

“I’m looking forward to contesting the season finale of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup because it’s also my home round. I always enjoy racing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in front of your family and friends. Our 2019 season is bringing us nice results because we secured two podium finishes including at the 24 hours of Spa. Raton Racing by Target and every driver feel very motivated to fight for a race win, which would help us to claim the Vice-Championship in the AM class” explains Forné. The Girona native adds that “I know this circuit perfectly thanks to my motorsport experience over the last two decades. My experience includes the 24 hours of Barcelona, the Supercopa SEAT León, the Megane Trophy, the Renault Sport Trophy… In the same way, Stefano is another expert there and Barcelona is a favorite for him. Christoph is probably less experienced on this track but he entered the International GT Open last weekend and put valuable mileage under his belt with promising results. So, I think we will able to complete a strong weekend to bring the Vice-Champion title home!”

As usual, Friday and Saturday are devoted to private testing and free practice sessions before the main event scheduled on Sunday. Qualifying session will take place at 09.30 (CET GMT+2) and the 3-hour race will get underway at 15.00 (CET GMT+2). The race will be streamed live on YouTube.
