CTMP Primed For Chevrolet Silverado 250, NASCAR Trucks Playoff Opener

The weekend will feature many of today’s rising NASCAR stars as the Camping World Truck Series makes its sixth consecutive annual appearance at Canada’s legendary track. Johnny Sauter, Brett Moffitt, Noah Gragson, Justin Haley and Ben Rhodes have all qualified to begin their quest for the 2018 Driver’s Championship starting with the Chevrolet Silverado 250. A total of eight drivers will be eligible – Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Stewart Friesen sits seventh in the battle for the playoffs with one race left before coming north to CTMP.

Maritime League of Legends Cleared for Takeoff at Riverside Saturday

Point leader Shelby Baker (Fall River, NS) kept his point lead in tact with a fourth place run at Scotia Speedworld during the Farrell’s Excavating Limited 50. The top five finish was Baker’s fifth in six races with the only “blemish” on his point tally coming at Riverside International Speedway in July. Baker will look to put that behind him as he searches for his first Maritime League of Legends Tour victory on the year Saturday in the Celtic Air Services 50.

McReynolds Added To Updated Entry List For Riverside NASCAR Pinty’s Race

McReynolds, the son of Fox NASCAR TV analyst and former NASCAR Cup Series legendary crew chief Larry McReynolds, will make his NPS debut at Riverside on Saturday. Brandon McReynolds is an established racer in the United States with wins in the NASCAR K & N Pro Series and in the ARCA series and starts NASCAR's Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series. It is ironic he will drive the No. 28 car in the Bumper to Bumper 300 as it is the number his father is perhaps most well-known for as crew chief for the late Davey Allison.

Warren battled with Jesse Deveau (Greenwood, NS), his brother Andrew Warren (White’s Lake, NS) and Darren Flemming (Belnan, NS) for the win in the Bruce Honda Showdown on the Shore at Lake Doucette Motor Speedway on August 5th.

Action Sprint Tour Readies For Inaugural Trip to Brighton Speedway on August 18

Superbike Doubleheader Weekend Underway At CTMP

In Friday’s action, Clarksburg, Ontario’s Ben Young scored the pole for Saturday’s featured Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship Race 1. Riding the No. 86 BMW S1000RR, Young posted the fastest time in qualifying with a 1:20.523. Starting alongside Young on Saturday will be 12-time series Champion Jordan Szoke. Szoke, from Lynden, Ont., rode his No. 1 BMW S1000RR to a time of 1:20.991. Szoke comes into the weekend looking to secure his 13th, and fourth straight, championship.

Action Sprint Tour Makes Second Trip to Humberstone This Sunday

After a 40-day layoff in June and July, the Series is now in the middle of four races in as many weeks. The Action Sprint Tour powered by RaceRivalz.com is coming off an exciting event last Friday night at Ohsweken Speedway as Jacob Dykstra bested a field of 30 entrants. This Sunday’s stop marks the third race of the stretch. Following Humberstone, the tour will head to its most eastern point when it makes its inaugural appearance at Brighton Speedway on Saturday, August 18.

Taking on the Paul Ricard Circuit in La Castellet, France alongside the Formula One World Championship, American driver JM Correa added more points to his 2018 championship total. With four drivers across two of the MRTI divisions, BN Racing scored not only their first career victory, but also their second as David Malukas had a dominating weekend in the Pro Mazda Presented by Cooper Tires Championship. BN Racing led the charge on both days of competition as UK pilot Toby Sowery made it a 1 – 2 finish chasing Malukas to the checkered flag in both races.
