Feature Events Highlight the Final Day of the 26th Autumn Colours Classic Featured

Glenn Watson and Brandon Watson brought the Hoosier Racing Tire Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model starting field to the line to kick-off the day’s schedule. With 75 laps to settle the score, the family reunion was the perfect kick-off to a Thanksgiving Sunday of action. Glenn Watson took the lead early, but his nephew was working the inside line and claimed the top spot with four laps on the board. A yellow flag for a backstretch incident slowed the pace with eight complete, but Watson was able to hold onto the lead and started working through the backmarkers at lap 15. With the pack running some strong, consistent laps Brandon Watson built-up a solid lead. A lap 37 caution that turned into a red flag for a third turn crash that ended the day for Jordan Howse. The turning point of the event came along with a lap 60 caution. Watson’s car had been sputtering and he took the #9 ride to the pits. Glenn Watson took the lead on the restart, with the former Autumn Colours winner now working through traffic from the rear of the field. Glenn Watson took the $2500 win. Gary McLean, in his first career Super Late Model start was second. Ryan Kimball, Brandon Watson and Gary Passer completed the top five.

JASON BELL SET FOR IMSA MICHELIN ENCORE EVENT IN NOVEMBER AT SEBRING INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

With plans to compete in the Pirelli World Challenge 8 Hours of Laguna, Jason Bell, an Audi Sport customer racing driver, has now thrown his hat into the mix at the IMSA SportsCar Encore at Sebring. Taking place at the Sebring International Raceway on the November 9-11 weekend, Jason Bell will co-pilot an Audi R8 GT4 LMS with GMG Racing teammate and 2018 champion James Sofronos.

Filling some gaps in the offseason is usually tough but Floridian driver Jason Bell is having no issues at all. With plans to compete in at least two major events before the close of the calendar year, the Global Motorsports Group driver has confirmed participation in the Pirelli World Challenge 8 Hours Intercontinental GT Challenge. Joining forces with GMG Racing teammate and 2018 champion, James Sofronos as well as Andrew Davis, Bell will share the driving duties in his first endurance style event.

In a partnership that will expand across the United States, Mad Croc Karting USA is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Checkered Motorsports as the duo will be on track this weekend at the Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix. Joining forces with the potent East Coast program, the growing Mad Old Nut Racing / Mad Croc Karting USA organization has added to their driver list and will now have a presence on both sides of the country.

JACK WILLIAM MILLER SET FOR CHRIS GRIFFIS TEST WITH MILLER VINATIERI MOTORSPORTS

Announced only a few weeks ago that Indianapolis, Indiana based Miller Vinatieri Motorsports (MVM) will compete in the 2019 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, the team has officially entered one driver for the upcoming Chris Griffis Test. Taking place at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the weekend of September 22-23, Jack William Miller will pilot the USF-17 car for the evolving MVM program.

ARMSUP MOTORSPORTS WINS F2000 PRO SERIES

On track three of the four weeks in September, ArmsUp Motorsports completed the final round of the F2000 Championship Series this past weekend at the New Jersey Motorsports Park. Taking on the Thunderbolt Raceway layout, ArmsUp drivers James Roe and Trent Walko dominated the event taking home both victories and three of four possible podium results.

TOP-TEN PACE FOR DYLAN TAVELLA IN NEW JERSEY

With only a short drive to his home event at the New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP), Dylan Tavella entered the penultimate weekend in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda with improvement on his mind. Competing in his Ride With Dylan branded machine with the Miller Vinatieri Motorsports squad, Tavella had his best event behind the wheel of a race car since graduating from karts at the end of the 2017 season.

12-YEAR-OLD PROTÉGÉ LILY FLINTOFF JOINS ALIANZA MOTORSPORTS JUNIOR DRIVER PROGRAM

Confirmed over this past weekend, 12-year-old Canadian kart racer Lily Flintoff has inked a deal to officially be part of the Alianza Motorsports Junior Driver Program. In a unique collaboration between Alianza Motorsports and K & K North America, Lily Flintoff will join Peruvian karter Eduardo Espejo Jr., as the duo will begin their ambassadorship, understanding and growth in Alianza Motorsports.

SKIP BARBER MOMENTUM F4 SET FOR HOME EVENT WITH TWO DRIVERS

Entering their home event on the 2018 calendar, Momentum Motorsports, along with their partners, the Skip Barber Racing School, enter the penultimate weekend of the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda. Taking place at their home facility of New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP), the Skip Barber Momentum F4 branded program will enter Kent Vaccaro and series newcomer William Lambros.

SABRÉ COOK TO MAKE HER F4 UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP POWERED BY HONDA SERIES DEBUT

Competing in all forms of motorsports including Karting, Formula Enterprises, Spec Racer Ford and USF2000, Colorado native Sabré Cook is set to make her F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda series debut. Confirmed for the remaining two events on the 2018 calendar, Cook will see action at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) in Millville, New Jersey as well as the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas.

The main title contenders are Shone Evans and Aaron Turkey while Jacob Dykstra remains mathematically in contention. Evans holds an eight-point advantage in the championship standings entering the deciding race, which provides the Scotland, Ont. native a slim cushion for the final 20-lap Feature. Dykstra is 24 points back of Evans and remains mathematically alive, but will need some help in order to capture the title.
