The SUZUKA GT 300km RACE, Round 3 of the 2019 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was held at the Suzuka Circuit (one lap 5.807m × 52 laps) in Mie Prefecture on May 26. In the GT500 class, the No. 36 au TOM’S LC500 (Kazuki Nakajima/Yuhi Sekiguchi) went from pole position to take its first win of the season. In the GT300 class, the No. 96 K-tunes RC F GT3 (Morio Nitta/Sena Sakaguchi) continued its winning streak at Suzuka from last year, giving it its second win of the season.
The Bohemia Energy racing with Scuderia Praha Ferrari 488 GT3 (#11, Jiří Písařík / Josef Kral / Matteo Malucelli) continues its undefeated streak at the Hankook 12H BRNO with its third consecutive victory at the event. Matteo Malucelli crossed the finishing line to complete 321 laps of the 5.403km Automotodrom Brno, securing not only the team’s hat trick at the event but also its third successive win of the 2019 European Championship, following wins in Mugello and Spa-Francorchamps.

BMW i Andretti Motorsport finished in the points with both its drivers for the first time this season in race ten of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. António Félix da Costa (POR), at the wheel of the BMW iFE.18, crossed the finish line fourth in the BMW i Berlin E-Prix presented by CBMM Niobium, having started the race from seventh place. His team-mate Alexander Sims (GBR) climbed from eleventh on the grid to finish seventh and make it two BMW iFE.18 cars in the top ten. Victory went to Lucas di Grassi (Audi, BRA).

In the GT300 class, the No. 25 HOPPY 86 MC (Takamitsu Matsui/Kimiya Sato) won pole position.

The local team, which has never been bested at the Czech event, has so far completed 79 laps after a strong opening run, but was unable to pull a lap clear of its nearest rival, the Car Collection Motorsport Audi R8 LMS (#88, Jürgen Häring / Taki Konstantinou / Tim Müller / Markus Winkelhock). The two teams will consequently start on the front row of the grid for tomorrow’s restart, and, crucially, on the same lap.

Markus Winkelhock lapped the 5.403km Automotodrom Brno in 2m 01.499s to secure the German team’s second front row start of this year’s 24H SERIES powered by Hankook.
The Blancpain GT Series makes its annual trip to Circuit Paul Ricard next weekend (31 May – 1 June) when a 49-car field will tackle a 1000km race into the sunset.
