Katherine Legge and Bia Figueiredo will team up in the No. 57 Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing Caterpillar Acura NSX GT3 for the Mobil 1 Sports Car Grand Prix presented by Acura at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) this Sunday.

Legge and Figueiredo are coming off a strong fourth-place finish at the Shalen’s Six Hours of The Glen after starting from the front row. This will be their first race as a duo as they look to continue the momentum Heinricher Racing has built coming into the Acura-titled event.

Legge earned a 2017 podium with Meyer Shank Racing at CTMP with the Acura NSX as well as a top five finish in the most recent edition of the event.

“After showing we were fast at Watkins Glen, I’m really looking forward to CTMP,” said Legge. “It’s a really great track that should suit our Acura NSX GT3 well. I’m also looking forward to partnering with Bia for the race. She did such a great job in Watkins Glen and hopefully we can get that elusive podium in Canada.”

Figueiredo will be making her first appearance at the 2.459-mile circuit but has been spending time in the simulator to learn the high-speed track.

“I’ve never been to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park but it’s a track that I am really looking forward to racing at,” said Figueiredo. “It seems like a fairly high-speed circuit with some really technical corners. I’ve been working on the simulator to help myself prepare for the weekend. The team always comes prepared so I’m certain we will give it nothing less than 110%.”

“Our race team has pushed hard all year to build the momentum we now have,” said team principal Jackie Heinricher. “With Katherine’s talent and experience at CTMP along with the level of performance that Bia brings, we’re confident that will continue. As always, we push for the win.”
