THE DENSO KOBELCO SARD GR OUT RACES THE SUPER GT FIELD AT FUJI

The Takanokono Hotel FUJI GT 300km RACE, Round 5 of the 2020 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was held at the Fuji Speedway (one lap 4,563m×66 laps) in Shizuoka Prefecture on October 4 (Sun). In the GT500 class, the No. 39 DENSO KOBELCO SARD GR Supra (Heikki Kovalainen/Yuichi Nakayama) came from 5th place on the starting grid to run away in the final stages and take its first win of the season. In the GT300 class, REALIZE NISSAN AUTOMOBILE TECHNICAL COLLEGE GT-R (Kiyoto Fujinami/Joao Paulo de Oliveira) gave team manager Masahiko Kondo’ team its first class victory.

ALLIED RACING PORSCHE SWEEPS GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES WEEKEND AT ZANDVOORT

Bastian Buus and Jan Kasperlik scored their sixth class win of the season and the third consecutive overall victory at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands for the Allied Racing Porsche team. The Toyota GR Supra GT4 took its first class win in the GT4 European Series in the hands of Gael Castelli and Stéphane Lémeret (CMR), with Selleslagh Racing Teams’s Bob Herber taking the Am honours at Zandvoort.

PORSCHE GB JUNIOR KING DOMINATES AT SILVERSTONE

Porsche Carrera Cup GB – the fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK – began a crucial stage of the 2020 season at Silverstone with two races on the short and fast 1.6-mile National circuit. Rookie teammates Matthew Graham (Redline Racing) and Scott McKenna (Redline Racing) topped the combined Practice times on Friday – just one-second covered the top 15 cars following two dry sessions. Esmee Hawkey (Team Parker) maintained her category advantage as the fastest Pro-Am, Lucky Khera (Simon Green Motorsport) was the quickest Am.

ALLIED RACING TAKES SECOND OVERALL GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES VICTORY IN A ROW AT ZANDVOORT

Bastian Buus and Jan Kasperlik have taken their second overall GT4 European Series victory in a row in the first Zandvoort race. The Allied Racing drivers took their fourth consecutive Pro-Am class win of the season. Valentin Hasse-Clot and Theo Nouet took the Silver Cup victory and the championship lead, with AGS Events teammates Nicolas Gomar and Gilles Vannelet extending their Am lead with their third win of the season.

DRAMA AT THRUXTON DELIVERS TWO NEW PORSCHE CARRERA GB WINNERS

Porsche Carrera Cup GB – the fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK – entered the second half of the 2020 season with a visit to the fastest circuit on the calendar, Thruxton, for Rounds Nine and 10 of the championship. Porsche GB 2020 / 2021 Junior Harry King (Team Parker Racing) set the pace on Friday – topping both Practice sessions by lapping approximately one-second faster than his rivals. Lorcan Hanafin (JTR) showed strong form to end the day second in the combined times, teammate Sam MacLeod (JTR) was third. Esmee Hawkey (Team Parker) was the fastest Pro-Am driver in both sessions, John Ferguson (Team Redline Racing) topped Am.

THE KEIHIN NSX-GT TAKES ITS SECOND WIN OF THE SUPER GT SEASON

The FUJIMAKI GROUP MOTEGI GT 300km RACE, Round 4 of the 2020 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series was held on September 13 (Sun) at Twin Rings Motegi (one lap 4,801m x 63 laps) in Tochigi Pref. In the GT500 class, the No.17 KEIHIN NSX-GT (Koudai Tsukakoshi/Bertrand Baguette) took its second runaway win of the season just as it did in Round 2 at Fuji Speedway. In the GT300 class, the No. 65 LEON PYRAMID AMG (Naoya Gamou/Togo Suganami) came back from a 13th grid start to take the win.

FUJI SUPER GT WIN FOR THE KEIHIN NSX-GT

The Takanokono Hotel FUJI GT 300km RACE, Round 2 of the 2020 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was held at the Fuji Speedway (one lap 4,563m×66 laps) in Shizuoka Prefecture on August 9 (Sun). In the GT500 class, the No. 17 KEIHIN NSX-GT (Koudai Tsukakoshi/Bertrand Baguette) starting from 2nd position on the front row of the grid took the lead and continued to run far ahead of the pack to win the race. It was the first win of the new season for the Honda NSX-GT. In the GT300 class, the SYNTIUM Apple・LOTUS (Hiroki Katoh/Masataka Yanagida) won their first team victory in 10 years.
