Porsche Visit Cayman Islands Sprint Challenge GB returned to Thruxton and its position as part of the TOCA package in support of the British Touring Car Championship for its penultimate weekend of 2021. In addition to provisionally resolving two championship category battles the weekend was notable for the addition of the most successful driver in Porsche Carrera Cup GB history, 1992 British Touring Car Champion Tim Harvey, as guest driver. Harvey made his return to Porsche one-make racing after a decade away, racing in the Pro category with Team Parker Racing .A dry qualifying session on Saturday afternoon resulted in Jack Bartholomew (Redline Racing) securing his third pole position of the season, championship rival Theo Edgerton (TCR) would join him on the front row of the grid for Round 9. Ian Humphris (Valluga) started his weekend by qualifying as the fastest Am in an impressive fourth place overall. Guest driver Tim Harvey (Team Parker Racing) made a single qualifying run which was good enough to put him on the fourth row of the grid.

The first of two GT4 European Series races at Spa-Francorchamps ended with wins for United Autosports (McLaren), Centri Porsche Ticino and Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BMW). Charlie Fagg and Bailey Voisin led away the field at the start and were the first to cross the line after 21 laps of racing around the 7 km track in the Belgian Ardennes.
Daan Pijl and Danny Kroes recorded the first Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe victory for Bonaldi Motorsport in the 2021 season after a superb drive from third on the grid at Spa-Francorchamps. Kroes made a strong start in the #33 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo to move into second place, while quick pit work allowed Pijl to leapfrog the polesitting #7 Novamarine – GSM Racing car of Kevin Rossel and Jonathan Cecotto for the win.

Audi was the dominant manufacturer at the third race weekend of the season in the German GT Championship: after yesterday’s success, Charles Weerts (20/B) and Dries Vanthoor (22/B, both Team WRT) claimed a second victory for the brand with the four rings in Sunday’s race. Second place for Mercedes-AMG drivers Maximilian Buhk (28/Hamburg) and Raffaele Marciello (26/I, both Mann-Filter Team Landgraf – HTP/WWR), and third place for Rolf Ineichen (42/CH) and Franck Perera (37/F, both GRT Grasser Racing Team) meant the podium featured three different manufacturers. “I really like the circuit here in Zandvoort and it is nice to have won here,” said winner Charles Weerts. “The whole weekend has been very good for us, with fifth place on Saturday, followed by pole and the win today.”

United Autosports finished on the podium at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen today, as Jim McGuire, Wayne Boyd and Guy Smith finished third after six hours of racing.
A successful weekend with important points and most of all more progress for Trivellato Racing by Villorba Corse at Zandvoort. The Dutch circuit hosted the third round of the 2021 GT4 European Series where the Italian team took action with its two Mercedes-AMG GT4 and four young drivers getting its best results of the season, especially with British GT4 champion Jamie Caroline and his Swiss teammate Jean Luc D’Auria on the #70 car. On track with 38 cars, Trivellato’s crew was protagonist in both races, always pushing hard and also keeping a solid pace. Their performances and Caroline’s brilliant overtakings in the second part of race 1 brought to gain many positions, finishing ninth overall and seventh in class (Silver Cup).
United Autosports had a challenging weekend during round three of the GT4 European Series at Zandvoort this weekend as the team returned to the Dutch track for the first time since 2013.
Oregon Team’s Kevin Gilardoni and Leonardo Pulcini recorded their third Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe victory in six races following a calculated drive in the second race of the weekend at Zandvoort. The #11 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo started third on the grid but made a decisive pass on eventual second place finisher Sebastian Balthasar (#2 Leipert Motorsport) on the first lap to gain the upper-hand either side of the mandatory pit-stops.
