Will Owen finished in 10th place with Juncos Racing after a power steering issue at the Motul Petit Le Mans, the final round of the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Teammate Spencer Pigot made his debut in the No. 50 Cadillac DPi-V.R entry and took ninth in qualifying in the DPi class. Pigot took on the start of the Motul Petit Le Mans and began to make his way through the field. Rene Binder took over after Pigot and continued climbing positions before handing the car over to Owen. Owen pushed up to 3rd place before the race took an unexpected turn when the power steering failed. A trip to the pits allowed the Juncos Racing crew to fix the issue, but the lost hour on track was detrimental to their track position.

All three drivers continued to fight for the remainder of the race and ultimately crossed the finished line after ten long hours of racing in 10th place in the DPi class and 22nd overall.

WILL OWEN- Driver of the No. 50 Juncos Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R

“The Motul Petit Le Mans was our strongest run in IMSA this year. We had the best pace, and all of us drivers we very close in our pace. We started ninth, and we able to move up to third. However, on my stint, we had an issue with the power steering, and that cost us about 40 laps. That took away our chance of having a good result to finish off the year, which is something we have been trying for all year. I am proud of where we have come since the beginning of the year and the pace we have gained. I am so thankful for the team and what all they have done this year and the work they have put in.”
