Former Porsche GB Scholar and 2014 Carrera Cup GB champion Josh Webster (Team Parker Racing) topped Friday practice at Croft. Returning to the North Yorkshire circuit for the first time since 2016, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB was met with wet conditions for the morning session, and a tricky drying track in the afternoon. Mastering the slippery surface to rank alongside championship returnee Webster came 18-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior Dan Harper (JTR) and George Gamble (Amigos Redline Racing).

Pro-Am category championship hopeful Jack McCarthy (Redline Racing) was another constant feature at the top of the timesheets, the Rookie ended the day P6 overall in the combined times. Fellow category challengers Karl Leonard (Team Parker Racing) and Jamie Orton (JTR) became locked in a close battle, ultimately the pair were separated by just 0.037sec. John Ferguson (Redline Racing) set the Am category pace, the Rookie emerged from the day ahead of category rivals Justin Sherwood (Team Parker Racing) and Peter Kyle-Henney (In2 Racing).

The morning session was punctuated by two red flag periods as several drivers left the circuit in difficult conditions, the afternoon session witnessed a frantic final few minutes as drivers exploited a drying track to set their fastest lap times.
