Villorba Corse continues its commitment with endurance racing history and, after its third consecutive Le Mans one month ago, on July 27-28 the Italian team will take part in the 24 Hours of Spa.

The 71st edition of the legendary Belgian race and pinnacle of the Blancpain GT Series will mark the second participation of the team led by Raimondo Amadio after their brilliant debut with the Ferrari 458 in the 2014 season, when Villorba Corse also clinched the Pro-Am championship title. In this second experience, the team will line up for the first time the Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Roberto Pampanini and Mauro Calamia. At Spa the Swiss pair will be joined by Stefano Monaco, 20-year-old Italian-Swiss driver who is emerging among the youngest rookies of the 2019 Porsche Carrera Cup Italia and that has already been in action with Pampanini-Calamia at the Paul Ricard 1000 kms last June, and another Swiss driver, Ivan Jacoma, a new entry with Villorba Corse.

Their #133 Mercedes-AMG GT3 is entered in the Pro-Am Cup class. With more that 70 cars expected in action, the 24 Hours of Spa gets underway on Saturday at 16:30h (full live streaming on http://www.blancpain-gt-series.com and http://www.total24hours.com).

Team principal Amadio says: “We are back to the 24 Hours of Spa after five years. Such a prestigious context with over 70 top cars and crews entered by so many top teams is so exciting. It is an honour to be among them. We are in the Pro-Am class and we have to focus on consistency and reliability trying to avoid any mistakes. We have the opportunity to run as many kilometres as possible during free practice, pre-qualifying, qualifying and night practice sessions. And last Tuesday our bronze test was positive. We set some competitive times and we are confident going into this still very difficult and demanding Belgian weekend”.
