Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA) offers customers something they cannot get anywhere else: a floor-to-ceiling motorsport career. Known as the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid, the German marque offers a path, and race car platform, to move from novice enthusiast to professional driver within the Porsche family motorsport products. At the foundation of the structured pathway is a trio of track cars directly derived from Porsche road cars. Known as Clubsport models, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, its dramatic retro platform mate the 935-19 and the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport offer drivers a car in which to grow from track day lapping to full IMSA and SRO America competition.

Each Clubsport model begins life as a road car. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport and 935 are based on the latest 700 horsepower 911 GT2 RS while the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport begins life as a 718 Cayman GT4. Porsche Motorsport pulls the cars from the regular assembly line and redirects them to Weissach, Germany where they are fitted with a variety of performance and safety features depending on their ultimate series destination. The cars are ordered through PMNA for the United States and Canada markets where they can be maintained for lapping days or full-on racing by a variety of professional race teams and performance and race car preparation shops. Because of the direct road car roots, even official Porsche Dealer Partners can work on the three non-streetable machines.

The Clubsport line provides multiple benefits for the enthusiast looking to enjoy the satisfaction of piloting a high performance sports car in the controlled environment of a closed circuit. Whether a driver wants to experience the raw power of the 700 horsepower 911 GT2 RS Clubsport on solo laps at a track day, a Porsche Club of America event or take it racing in the Porsche Trophy West USA and SRO GT World Challenge America series in 2020, PMNA offers the tools to satisfy the need for speed, begin a racing career or fulfill a dream.

One of the greatest benefits of the Porsche Clubsport model line is the relatively low run costs. Unlike the thoroughbred race cars higher up the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid, the Clubsport cars have road-based components allowing longer run times – racing hours – between engine rebuilds, more readily available parts and broader maintenance schedules than the customer-based Porsche race cars. This lowers the barriers of entry and participation that many racing programs present to drivers.

Porsche has one of the most encompassing motorsport programs in the world today. At the sharp-end of the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid is the factory-prepared and entered 911 RSR. The purebred race car contests in the all-professional ranks of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The 911 GT3 R is the Porsche model of choice for the Pro-Am ranks of the GT3-spec race series of the world including the WeatherTech GTD class and SRO GT World Challenge America. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car contests amateur and one-make series around the globe including the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA and Canada by Yokohama series. At the base of the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid is the Clubsport line of machines.
