TEAM ANTONELLI MOTORSPORT AIM TO TAKE THE GT OPEN AM LEAD IN AUSTRIA WITH MOISEEV/NESOV DUO
Team Antonelli Motorsport is set to return to GT Open after a three-week break, heading to the Austrian track of Red Bull Ring that hosts this weekend, 12th/13th September, the third of six series’ double rounds.
On the up and downs of the Styria, the Italian squad will field only the Kaspersky-backed Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo car for experienced Alexander Moiseev and young newcomer Alexey Nesov, who is running his first season in the championship.
In the most recent Paul Ricard event, the Russian pair claimed two second places in the Am after finishing third at the Hungaroring opener.
With this results the Antonelli Motorsport’s duo is now third in the class with only a four-point gap from leaders Jens Liebhauser and Florian Scholze.
Free practice sessions will be held on Thursday and Friday. Qualifying 1 is scheduled on Saturday morning since 11:15, followed by 70-minute Race 1 that starts at 16:25. Qualifying 2 will commence on Sunday at 9:05, whilst the one-hour Race 2 will start at 13:30. Both races will be live streamed on YouTube official at http://www.youtube.com/user/GTOPENseries.
