The podium of the Italian GT opener in Monza, showed the great strength of the Riccardo Agostini and Alessio Rovera pair.
The duo, considering the result achieved early this April when they shared the Antonelli Motorsport’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 (Agostini started the season with the quickest lap time in free practice 2 and was one of the fastest during the entire weekend) will take part also in the Sprint series that kicks off in about one week at the Vallelunga track.
That means a double commitment awaits Agostini in the Italian GT. “In Monza we showed a great pace. I had a perfect feeling with Rovera and team Antonelli Motorsport is a guarantee. They offered me this opportunity I couldn’t deny,” commented the young Italian driver.
The new Sprint series challenge that starts in Vallelunga (4/5 May) will consist in four rounds, like the Endurance series. The second is scheduled in Imola (22/23 June) followed by Mugello (20/21 July) and Monza (19/20 October)
