At the end of the three qualifying sessions, the REBELLION R-13 cars #1 and #3 will start the 24 Hours of Le Mans in third and fifth positions on the starting grid.

The last qualifying session ended up last night on the Circuit des 24 Heures track. The number 1 car driven by André Lotterer, Neel Jani and Bruno Senna finished with the third best lap time (3:19.449). The Brazilian driver achieved this performance in the final session.

The number 3 car with Mathias Beche, Gustavo Menezes and Thomas Laurent at the wheel is relegated to the fifth position after recording the best non-Hybrid chrono: 3:18.252 (Thomas Laurent). The recorded chrono is finally 3:19.945 because of a penalty obtained in the last session for not having submitted to scrutineering.

A big challenge is going to start for the REBELLION Racing Team which will fight for the podium in this 2018 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

As the President of REBELLION, Alexandre Pesci said: “As Corneille said: Victory without risk brings triumph without glory!

See you on Saturday, June 16th at 3:00 pm for the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans! But before that, see you at the Parade today in the streets of Le Mans where the drivers and all the members of REBELLION Racing Team will be there for the fans!

Bruno Senna, #1 driver:
“It’s been a very tough qualifying session, we had some difficulties to have clear laps because of many incidents and yellow flags. It’s nice to be near the front but we need to improve a little bit to fight against the Toyotas. The car was very performing and I’m sure we can put some pressure on the Hybrids on Saturday and finish on the podium!”

André Lotterer, #1 driver:
“Good result for the whole team. Too bad for the cancellation of the best lap of our teammates. This makes us start in third position on Saturday. Bruno did a good job. We continue to improve the car and work on a good race setup but it’s not easy with all these slow zones.”
