RATON RACING BY TARGET TO FIELD A CAR FOR JIATONG/GIAMMARIA AT SILVERSTONE IN THE GT OPEN
More than one month from the second consecutive podium achieved at the 24H Spa-Francorchamps, team Raton Racing by Target hits the track this coming weekend at the Silverstone venue for the fifth of seven International GT Open rounds.
On the British soil the squad led by Roberto Tanca fields only one car, as Christoph Lenz will not enter the race due to an injury, after he previously shared the driving duties with Alberto Di Folco.
That means the sole OPPO backed Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo lined-up under the technical direction of Roberto Venieri will be the one of Liang Jiatong and Raffaele Giammaria.
The Italian-Chinese pair claimed a best fifth overall place and a Pro-Am victory in the Paul Ricard opener, taking two more podium finishes in the same class at the French track as well as in the last July’s Red Bull Ring round.
At Silverstone Jiatong/Giammaria will try to start the last part of the season in the best way. The first of the two races – 70 minutes, lived on Web Tv at gtopen.net – starts on Saturday at 16.15 local time following the morning qualifying. The one-hour Race two is scheduled on Sunday at 15, after Q2.
