Renamed Panis Racing and still led by Olivier Panis, Sarah and Simon Abadie, the French team is entering its fifth season in the European Le Mans Series in the LMP2 class.

The Oreca 07 now having the number #31 is once again in the hands of William (Will) Stevens and Julien Canal, with a newcomer Nicolas (Nico) Jamin completing the team’s crew for 2020. The trio will be on track in Barcelona on March 30th and 31st for the official ELMS tests, the week before the first race at the Catalan circuit on April 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Olivier Panis – Team Principal: “I am delighted to carry on the ELMS story with Sarah and Simon Abadie. Be now associated with the tyre manufacturer Goodyear and being able to benefit from its heritage, its technology and its worldwide reputation in motorsport is a source of pride. We are also very grateful to ELF for its trust. This partnership has a special taste for me because they have been all around my driving career through my F1 debut. A big thank you also to all the partners who have been involved with us from the beginning and who has renewed their confidence in us for 2020.

We are happy to bring together three top drivers for this new season. Will (Stevens)’s level of performance is well proven, and his ability to pass on technical information to his teammates and the team is a major asset. We will also be able to continue to benefit from the great experience of Julien (Canal), added to his close complicity with Will these two past seasons. It’s a great satisfaction to welcome Nico (Jamin) in this crew. This young driver has shown great things in LMP2, and we know his team spirit and his ability to integrate. No doubt we have all needed to fight at the top of the field and to win races!”

Will Stevens – Oreca LMP2 07 #31 driver: “I’m really happy to continue with Panis Racing and its partners in what will be our third season together. We have grown a lot over the years and put a lot of things in place to hopefully achieve high goals this season in ELMS. We have a great team with Julien Canal who has been with me for 2 years and newcomer Nico Jamin I have known for a while. I’m sure he can bring a lot to the team. I would like to warmly thank the team for their confidence in me and my ability to take them as high as possible. Can’t wait for the season to start!”

Nico Jamin – Oreca LMP2 07 #31 driver: “I am extremely happy and excited to join Panis Racing. I was very warmly welcomed by the whole team during my visit to the workshop based in Toulouse. I already feel part of the family! The team has already shown its huge potential in the past ELMS seasons and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. I really believe we have the technical package and the crew to fight for the championship! I’m looking forward to working with Will, as he is a true reference in the LMP2 endurance field, and Julien is a top-level Silver driver with a lot of experience in this car. I would like to thank Olivier Panis, Sarah and Simon Abadie for this great opportunity. I can’t wait to get started!”

Julien Canal – Oreca LMP2 07 #31 driver: “I’m very happy to be back for a third consecutive year with the Panis Racing team as well as with Will Stevens. His talent and speed are strong assets and we also welcome with great pleasure Nicolas Jamin who has proved to be a sure rising value in motorsport. Welcome to him! We have an opportunity to seize in this ELMS 2020 championship. I am now looking forward to seeing my team and my team-mates on tracks to co
