United Autosports are pleased to confirm that Oliver Jarvis will join their FIA World Endurance Championship team for the 2022 season.

The British driver joins 15-year-old Josh Pierson in one of the team’s two Oreca 07 LMP2 cars as they make the move to entering two cars in the 2022 FIA WEC season.

Oliver last raced in the FIA WEC at Fuji in 2019 with United Autosports as he stood in for regular driver Paul Di Resta, finishing third alongside Phil Hanson and Filipe Albuquerque. Before then, Oliver last competed in a full season of WEC in 2017, finishing second in the LMP2 championship, claiming three wins, including at Le Mans, and six podiums over the course of the season. Before that, Oliver raced in the FIA WEC as part of the Audi Sport LMP1 team. Oliver has a huge amount of sportscar experience, having raced in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship over the last four years as a Mazda factory driver. He has also been a works factory driver for many of the top manufacturers in motorsport, such as Bentley, Audi and Toyota. In his early racing career, back in 2003, Oliver raced for Richard Dean’s Team JLR at the Formula Ford Festival.

Oliver and Josh’s co-driver will be announced later this week. United Autosports have already announced that their #22 Oreca 07 will be driven by Phil Hanson, Filipe Albuquerque and Will Owen, when the season starts in March at Sebring, USA.

Oliver Jarvis

“I am over the moon to be joining United Autosports and returning to race a full season in WEC for the first time since winning Le Mans in 2017. Having raced with the team in Fuji in 2019, I know how great they are so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to race a full season with them. I am excited to be teaming up with Josh who will become the youngest ever driver to compete at Le Mans. Having tested with him, I have no doubt he’s more than up to the challenge and is a star of the future. I believe we have the capabilities to challenge for not only wins but also the championship, in what is set to be the most competitive season in LMP2 history.”

Zak Brown

“Oliver is one of the best endurance racers out there so having him as part of our team as we move to entering two cars in the WEC is a great move for the team. He will partner Josh brilliantly and after already having a successful test a few months ago, I’m sure they will be fully prepared come the opening round at Sebring in March.”

Richard Dean

“I have known Oliver for many years now and it’s a pleasure to have seen him grow into the brilliant racing driver he is today. He had a taste of racing with us at Fuji, so I’m thrilled he has now joined us for a full season of the FIA World Endurance Championship. He is the perfect teammate for Josh and will be able to guide him during his first season in the WEC. I can’t wait for Sebring now.”
