Having missed the last round of the European Le Mans Series in Barcelona due to business commitments in Japan, Nobu Yamanaka returns to the series for next weekend’s 4 Hours of Silverstone.

As part of a larger endurance programme, Nobu has been gaining valuable experience in the #8 Ligier LMP3 alongside teammate James Littlejohn.

Very much a Gentleman driver, Nobu has made great strides throughout the season and with just three rounds remaining, is looking to build on his first season at this high level with solid trouble-free finishes.

Silverstone will again be a new circuit for Nobu to learn, but the fast and sweeping nature of the track should play to his strengths as a driver. Once again, he will again enjoy coaching from the team to help him hit the ground running.

“It has been both challenging and enjoyable for me in my debut season in ELMS,” said Nobu. “It’s such a competitive race series and my aim is to continue to learn and perform more consistently.

“It was a shame that I couldn’t attend Barcelona. At Paul Ricard and Monza I certainly developed as a driver, even if I wasn’t too happy with the results. Now I’m very much looking forward to racing in Silverstone circuit and look forward to working with James once again and further improving my own performance.”

The race weekend shares the Silverstone circuit with the FIA World Endurance Championship with Friday given over to two 90-minute practice sessions, with qualification and the race on Saturday 31st August.
