DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (November 15, 2018) – Trent Hindman in the No. 101 Wayne Taylor Racing, Lamborghini Paramus will lead the field for the first of the final two Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America races of the season at Vallelunga Circuit outside of Rome, Italy.

Hindman was second fastest overall in the first 20-minute qualifying session, that was shared with the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia competitors, turning in a lap of 1:31.826 to secure the pole for Race 1.

“So far our week here at Vallelunga has been strong, especially since we are a visiting team at quite a challenging racetrack,” said Hindman. “The Wayne Taylor Racing/Prestige Performance team has adapted to this environment very well and we’re carrying the knowledge and momentum gained at Imola last year into this, the 2018 edition of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final. Jonathan and I have both landed us a pair of front-row starting positions for tomorrow’s final North American rounds and we look forward to capitalizing on a great qualifying effort.”

The reigning Lamborghini World Final co-champion was 0.641 seconds faster than his closest North American competitor, Corey Lewis in the No. 129 Change Racing, Lamborghini Charlotte, who will start on the outside of the front row in Race 1.

Edoardo Piscopo in the No. 150 US RaceTronics Lamborghini Beverly Hills will start third.

Class poles for Race 1 went to William Hubbell in the No. 169 Wayne Taylor Racing, Lamborghini Paramus in Pro-Am, Damon Ockey in the No. 109 US RaceTronics, Lamborghini Calgary in AM, and Justin Price in the No. 121 Dream Racing, Lamborghini Atlanta in LB Cup.

Race 2 qualifying saw Piscopo’s co-driver Taylor Proto score the pole position for the season finale, narrowly beating Jonathan Cecotto in the Wayne Taylor Racing No. 101 for the pole.

Ryan Hardwick, piloting the No. 102 Dream Racing, Lamborghini Atlanta machine impressed with a lap that was good enough for third in the North American field and pole position in the AM category, while Madison Snow drove the No. 129 Change Racing Lamborghini to complete the top four.

Alex Popow in the No. 169 Wayne Taylor Racing, Lamborghini Paramus took the Pro-Am pole, while Brett Meredith in the No. 166 P1 Motorsports, Lamborghini Newport Beach will lead the LB Cup class for Race 2.

Both season finale races will be held Friday with Race 1 scheduled for 9 a.m. local time / 3 a.m. eastern time and Race 2 to follow at 1 p.m. local / 7 a.m. eastern time.

The North American and Asian series will share the track for both races but will have separate starts.
