The 2019 Blancpain GT Sports Club entry list continues to grow ahead of the new campaign, with 14 confirmed so far for the opening round at the legendary Autodromo Nazionale Monza, in support of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.

A mixture of experienced series regulars and Blancpain GT Sports Club debutants are set to make up the grid, with GT3 cars from Ferrari, Honda, Lamborghini and Mercedes represented by 10 teams already confirmed.

In 2019, a new overall champion will be crowned, with the Titanium Cup for drivers aged 50-59, and Iron Cup for those aged over 60, boasting strong fields promising for close wheel-to-wheel racing throughout the field.

Supporting Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup and Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe rounds, the Blancpain GT Sports Club heads to five world-renowned race venues. Following the curtain-raiser at Monza, the championship heads to Circuit Paul Ricard, Misano, Spa-Francorchamps for the SRO Speed Week, before concluding at Barcelona.

With 10 different nationalities set to participate in the 2019 season, the global attraction of the Blancpain GT Sports Club is evident, as it offers the best opportunity for bronze-grade drivers to go head-to-head against their peers and demonstrate their abilities in front of the world’s top GT teams.

New teams ERC Motorsport, StileF Service Srl, Van der Horst Motorsport and Reno Racing join the field, as AF Corse, Kessel Racing, HB Racing, HP Racing International, Rinaldi Racing and GDL Racing return to the grid in search of overall and class success.

A number of entries were involved in the Paul Ricard pre-season test, including Jens Reno Moller and his Reno Racing team, making sure to be best prepared with the new Honda NSX GT3 Evo ahead of his maiden Blancpain GT Sports Club campaign.

“The car felt very balanced in testing, which is great and puts us in a good position for the 2019 Blancpain GT Sports Club season,” said touring car ace Moller. “We were running a strong pace in the morning of the Paul Ricard test, whilst focusing on race simulations on older tyres in the afternoon. I’ve been to most of the circuits on the calendar, including Spa, where I drove a Lister Storm in the 24-hour race, so hopefully we’ll be well prepared this year.”

In 2019, each Blancpain GT Sports Club weekend consists of free practice, two qualifying sessions and two races of the same duration (between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the specific event), with 25 points on offer for the winner of either race. In the case of shared entries, there is the option of entering one driver per qualifying and race.

2019 Blancpain GT Sports Club calendar:

13-14 April – Monza, Italy
1-2 June – Circuit Paul Ricard, France
29-30 June – Misano, Italy
20-21 July –Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
28-29 September – Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain
