United Autosports are delighted to confirm that Edouard Cauhaupe will join their European Le Mans Series LMP3 team for the 2021 season.

The 18-year-old French driver will join the reigning ELMS LMP3 champions in their #2 Ligier JS P320 for the 2021 season after previously having raced in the Michelin Le Mans Cup. In 2020, Edouard finished second in the Le Mans Cup championship, with a win and second place at the prestigious Road to Le Mans event helping towards his Vice Championship. Edouard also finished second in the French GT4 Championship last year after finishing third in 2019.

The 2021 European Le Mans Series begins in April in Barcelona, Spain before travelling to Red Bull Ring (Austria), Monza (Italy), Paul Ricard (France), Spa Francorchamps (Belgium) and Portimao (Portugal). Edouard’s team mates will be announced in due course.

Edouard Cauhaupe

“I’m really delighted to join United Autosports and to set up in the European Le Mans Series. For me, without hesitation, United Autosports is the best endurance team in the world. I will do my very best to help the team obtain a new title.”

Zak Brown

“I’m delighted Edouard is joining our LMP3 team for 2021. I’m looking forward to seeing how he gets on in our Ligier JS P320. I have high hopes for him going into the new season where we will be aiming to defend our championship title.”

Richard Dean

“Edouard will be making the career step up to the European Le Mans Series this year and I’m really pleased he will be doing that with United. We watched him closely throughout 2020 on his way to finishing in a very strong second place in the Michelin Le Mans Cup championship. The MLMC is a great series with some fantastic battles right throughout the field, so Edouard is used to performing at the top level in LMP3. I’m confident he will fit into our team well and I’m excited to see how he will get on.”
