Drivex heads to Hungary for Round 4 of the International GT Open and the Spain-based outfit is a hot favorite after its top results achieved by Marcelo Hahn and Allam Khodair with the Mercedes AMG GT3. As announced the past week, Drivex is doubling its efforts in the series and a second Mercedes AMG GT3 for Ricardo Baptista and Carlos Eduardo “Cacá” Bueno, two other top-tier Brazilian drivers, will be lined up.

Hahn sits third in the Pro-Am class on 32 points after three events in Estoril, Le Castellet and Spa-Francorchamps. Hahn claimed his first win of the season teaming up with Khodair in Portugal and then, in Round 2, Marcelo scored another Sunday’s triumph sharing the Drivex Mercedes with Alan Hellmeister. In Belgium, Hahn and Khodair almost secured a third win, finally finishing second just a handful of seconds behind the class winner. The duo of Drivex still brought valuable points home for the championship. Hahn and Khodair stepped onto the podium at the Hungaroring last year and it is a powerful morale boost for the whole team. Hahn, an avid football fan, will target extending Brazilian success in the World Cup!

Baptista and Bueno will make their first start in the International GT Open. However, their extensive experience both on the Brazilian and the international stages is a good starting point for them and both Brazilian drivers are among GT Open’s top win contenders. Baptista, a two-time Porsche GT3 Cup Brazil Champion, and Bueno, who claimed five titles in the Stock Car Brasil, are an extremely strong pairing in the Pro-Am class.

Saturday’s race 1 consisting of 70 minutes will start at 15.45 (CET). Race 2 is scheduled on Sunday at 14.15 (CET) consisting of 60 minutes. They will be broadcasted on YouTube.
