Cetilar Racing is all set for its FIA WEC debut as the long waiting for the 2019-2020 season is almost over. After completing three consecutive editions of the 24H Le Mans and having raced in the European Le Mans Series in the last years, the all-Italian team led by Roberto Lacorte officially enters the Olympus of the Endurance Motorsport. A new thrilling challenge is now starting for Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi, sharing the driving duties in the #47 Dallara-Gibson LMP2 car technically supported by famous AF Corse.

Only one month after the Barcelona “Prologue”, when the team showed consistency, testing the Michelin tires under the supervision of Team Principal Philippe Dumas, Cetilar Racing faces at Silverstone the first out of eight rounds of the Intercontinental Championship. The British venue will be followed by the two Asian legs at Fuji (Japan) and Shanghai (China), and the Bahrain race on December. São Paolo (Brazil) and Sebring (United States) will kick-off the new year before going back to Europe for the Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) round and the 88th edition of the 24H Le Mans scheduled on 13/14 June.

The 4 Hours of Silverstone will start this coming Sunday at 12,00 (13,00 CEST). The first two free practice sessions will be held on Friday, followed by the FP3 on Saturday morning. Qualifying get underway at 11,50 and 12,20 local time.

Roberto Lacorte. “The 24H Le Mans was a dream and a goal. Making debut in the FIA WEC is more. Despite some technical gap, we start this challenge with a deep passion, in a top-level Championship, with an all-Italian team. Me, Giorgio, Andrea, Amato Ferrari and Dallara share the same vision”.

Giorgio Sernagiotto. “I love Silverstone, a track that mixes fast and slow parts. Probably it doesn’t fit weel to our Dallara. We’ll try a surprise move”.

Andrea Belicchi. “At Silverstone I took good results both in FIA WEC and ELMS. It is the track with the largest number of speed turns, producing many g-forces. Phisically talking it will be the most tough race of the year. Probably we have to manage aerodynamics and the understeering. The new track surface could help us. Traffic is not a problem, as the track is long and large”.
