Bryan Sellers, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver, took victory for a second time this season and is now leading the PRO Championship after a wet and windy Paris Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY race.

Despite Storm Hannah and torrential rain, TWR TECHEETAH’s Stefan Rzadzinski achieved his best race result this season, converting his qualifying position into a season’s best second place and 15 points. Sérgio Jimenez completed the podium line-up for Jaguar Brazil Racing.

The Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY is such a difficult series and you really have to be on it to win. I started the series a little off the pace, so to be able to take my second win today feels incredible. We experienced tough conditions, but you take a win whenever you can get it because they don’t come very often. The I-PACE was great in the conditions and all focus now turns to Monaco.

Ahmed Bin Khanen bolstered his championship points tally in Paris, coming through the field cleanly and taking the top PRO-AM podium spot. Fellow PRO-AM competitor, Célia Martin of Viessmann Jaguar eTROPHY Team Germany, achieved her best result of the season in the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, finishing second. The French racing driver adds 15 points to her PRO-AM championship in front of her home crowd.

This race was really difficult, the conditions started dry but then suddenly it went very wet and slippery. There was a lot of debris on the track and I saw a lot of drivers struggling with the conditions, but thankfully it ended well for me and I’m thrilled to have finished first in the PRO-AM class and fifth overall. Bring on the next race in Monaco.

The Paris race was one to remember. Hail, wind and rain battered the track and it’s reassuring to see the cars handled the tricky conditions. There were some exciting tussles during the race, but that’s to be expected on this Paris city centre circuit. A special congratulations to Bryan Sellers as he is now the first driver to have a double win in the PRO championship. I would also like to congratulate Archie Hamilton who joined us in Paris and returned to motorsport in very tricky weather conditions.

The next Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY race is in just two weeks’ time on 11 May 2019 in Monaco.
