John Edwards qualified the No. 25 MOTUL BMW M Team RLL BMW M4 GT3 fourth in the GTD PRO class for tomorrow’s two-hour-and-forty-minute IMSA Fastlane Sports Car Weekend race. Edwards posted a 2:06.289- minute lap around the 4.0-mile, 14-turn Road America circuit and will share the car tomorrow with Connor De Phillippi. The pair stands sixth in GTD PRO class driver point standings with a season’s-best third place finish at Laguna Seca earlier this year.

In the GTD class, Robby Foley drove the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 to the class pole with a 2:06.084- minute lap. He will co-drive tomorrow with Bill Auberlen. The No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3, of Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow, will start eighth, following Snow’s 2:06.674-minute qualifying lap. Sellers and Snow lead the GTD class Sprint Cup Championship points standings. Auberlen and Foley stand fourth in Sprint Cup points.

John Edwards (BMW M Team RLL, No. 25 MOTUL BMW M4 GT3 (P4) : “Certainly this was a disappointing qualifying session for us being almost one second behind the pole sitting Lexus. We had made some changes after yesterday’s practice sessions and thought we would be closer. Rain is anticipated for tomorrow’s race so we hope we will be able to move forward as a wet track is a good equalizer.”
