This year’s Blancpain GT Series Asia champions were united in London on Saturday evening (November 24) to receive their 2018 trophies alongside title winners from SRO Motorsports Group’s other international, regional and national series.

The historic Old Billingsgate on the bank of the River Thames was chosen as 2018’s venue for SRO’s traditional end-of-season prize-giving ceremony following last year’s 25th anniversary celebrations in Paris.

The black tie ceremony brings together GT champions from around the world, and Asia was no exception. Overall GT3 Drivers’ and Teams’ champions FFF Racing, Martin Kodric and Dennis Lind were on hand to collect their 2018 trophies alongside team-mates Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Marco Mapelli, who won GT3’s Pro/Am title.

KCMG’s Am Cup champions Takuya Shirasaka and Naoto Takeda flew in from Japan to be presented with their awards while Reinhold Renger (GruppeM Racing) picked up the GT4 Drivers’ Championship trophy.

Each class’ top-three crews were also invited by SRO as part of their prize for outstanding seasons.

2019’s rebranded Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia and GT4 Asia campaigns begin at Sepang in Malaysia on April 6/7.
