B-Quik Racing Co. Ltd. TM (“B-Quik Racing”) will contest the first two rounds of Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia 2019 with our soon-to-be-delivered new Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo. Henk Kiks and Daniel Bilski will share driving duties for both events.
This promises to be our most exciting year so far; as B-Quik Racing enters its second decade in motorsport we will field our most competitive racecar yet, a new 2019 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo.
Taking part in the first two rounds of Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia – the most prestigious and competitive championship reserved for GT sports cars on this continent – represents the perfect opportunity to get to grips with our new GT3 car at the start of a busy season while for Henk and Daniel it will give them invaluable seat time.
However, Henk and Daniel are no strangers to racing together – or in sharing Audi “R8” racecars. The pairing formed two thirds of the driver line up for our class victory in Malaysia’s Sepang 12 Hours in 2016, their third straight podium together in this race, all of which were achieved with the R8 LMS Cup, while most recently they teamed up behind the wheel of our R8 LMS Ultra during last season’s Thailand Super Series opener at Sepang International Circuit.
The first round of Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia 2019 takes place on 6-7 April in Sepang while the second round will be contested on our ‘home soil’ as the series visits Buriram’s Chang International Circuit on 11-12 May – both are circuits Henk and Daniel know inside out and they will form a well-rounded bronze-bronze line-up.
Certainly, it’s going to be a very steep learning weekend as both team and drivers get used to the new car, but we never take part to make up numbers so we will be pushing hard to get a good result.
Henk Kiks: “Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia attracts many of the world’s leading sportscar racing teams and drivers with factory support present throughout the paddock. So, for sure it’s going to be the biggest test for our team to date, but we’re always ready and itching for the toughest challenges! We’re really looking forward to these two events and excited to unlock the potential of the new Audi; it’s certainly going to be a heck of a year for B-Quik. But we want this challenge, we’re prepared and ready to get stuck in. I would also like to thank SRO for their help with putting this mini programme together as well as the support from Audi Sport Customer Racing as we prepare to step up this year to the new Audi.”
Daniel Bilski: “The imminent arrival of B-Quik Racing’s new Audi is a major milestone for the team and a huge way to start the year. I’m really looking forward to learn the new Evo spec car with Henk, with guidance from our good friends at Absolute Racing. The opening rounds of the Blancpain World Challenge Asia in Sepang will provide a fantastic learning opportunity for B-Quik Racing to get dialled into the new car, whilst at the same time taking on some of the strongest teams in global GT racing.”
