B-Quik Racing Co. Ltd. TM (“B-Quik Racing”) is all set to wrap up the on track season this coming weekend at Sepang Circuit with Henk J. Kiks and Daniel Bilski entering the final round of the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup while our Young Driver Programme will take part in the Sepang 1000 Km.

The appearance of our two Super Car GTM Plus drivers’ in Audi Sport’s pan-Asian ‘one make’ race series is the culmination of the step up in our relationship with Audi Sport customer racing this year. Daniel will drive our #27 Audi R8 LMS Ultra, which he’s been campaigning in Thailand Super Series this year, while Henk will drive a current-generation model in the “Cup” series.

B-Quik Racing has a long relationship with the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup and Daniel is a former double title winner (“AM” champion in 2015 and “Masters” champion in 2016). This weekend will be the first time we have entered two cars in the series.

The Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup finale will feature two races, with the opening encounter taking place under the spotlights late on Saturday night – the first time the “Cup” series will have raced in the dark. However, for Henk and Daniel they should be bang up to speed as they have previous raced an Audi R8 here through the night on three occasions, those appearances coming during our successful entries into the Sepang 12 Hours (2014-16) that netted a trio of podium finishes culminating a win.

Meanwhile, this year our “Young Driver Programme” has been significantly expanded and there’s really no better way to conclude the programme than by entering the Sepang 1000 Km, the most important endurance race in South East Asia.

It will be the first time the four new young rookie drivers that make up the “Class of 2018” – namely Jerasak Kongplab, Adisak Tangphuncharoen, Pongtanu Kamsai and Attapon Kaewarsa – will have seen Sepang Circuit while the race has an extra twist as it is scheduled to run for around 10 hours and finish at 2150 meaning much of the race will run during the night.

For our quartet of new young drivers, none of whom had even sat in a racecar before May, it’s going to represent another steep learning curve in a season packed full of steep learning curves. They will be behind the wheel of our Toyota Vios.

It doesn’t stop their either as this weekend will see the final round of the “Asia Classic Car Challenge” and on the programme and Henk will drive his usual Porsche 944 while Aaron Liddell will be back in action for a second outing in our BMW E30.

Finally, this coming weekend will actually see a full turnout for the Young Driver Programme as the “Class of 2017”, Narin Naeosathon and Sathaporn Veerachue, will race a Honda Brio in the final round of RAAT Thailand Endurance Championship at Chang International Circuit.

Henk J. Kiks: “We’ve just capped off another successful domestic programme in Thailand Super Series and this is a good way to wrap up the year as we are already focusing on another step up for next year. I’m looking to forward to driving the new R8 at Sepang as well as giving a last run out of the year to our classic Porsche and it’s also going to be good for the young drivers to sink their teeth into this circuit with a lot of track time potentially available in the Sepang 1000 km race to give them several extras to end their first year.”

Daniel Bilski: “I’m really looking forward to joining the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup for the season finale. I’m especially excited as it’s the first time B-Quik Racing will enter two cars in the Cup. I started the year with the Cup in Adelaide so it’s a great way to bookend the season. The Cup has an incredibly strong field, so it’s going to be a big challenge, but one we’re looking forward to.”

Adisak Tangphuncharoen: I’m very happy to get the great opportunity to race again after the TSS season. It’s a really big challenge because we’re going to Sepang where we have no experience of the circuit. However, I think that’s very good for young drivers to learn and race here. I’ll try my best and hope to get a good result.”

Attapon Kaewarsa: “I’m happy and very excited to get this opportunity. This is my first time to Sepang so I have had to get myself ready and learn all about the track layout. This is a big step for me as a racing driver as I must now learn to drive one of most famous racetracks in Asia. I’ll try to get the most out of it and will do my best.”

Jerasak Kongplab: “I’ve been to Sepang several time as a technician but this is the first time for me as racing driver. Sepang is a famous circuit and also on my wish list that I can drive there. I’d like to thank B-Quik for giving me this opportunity. Hopefully we can work together to get a good result.”

Pongtanu Kamsai: “I’ve never been to Sepang so I’m very excited. With 1000 km or maybe about 10 hours in this race it seems like it’s going to be very hard but I’m sure we will all get a plenty of experience and I will try my best.”
