B-Quik Racing is counting down to the fifth and final round of Thailand Super Series (“TSS”) 2019, which takes place in Buriram this coming weekend (25-27 October), where we will enter a strengthened line up as we focus on the Super Car GT3 Drivers’ and Teams’ championship titles.

With just two races for Super Car GT3 remaining this season, both at Chang International Circuit this Saturday and Sunday respectively, we will arrive in strong form with four wins from the six races so far. Three of those four wins have gone to Henk Kiks and Daniel Bilski in our #26 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo and that means they head to the North East as the pairing to beat, holding a 19-point advantage in the Drivers’ classification. But with a maximum of 50 points on offer everything is still to play for.

In our #2 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Sandy Stuvik and Martin Rump will pair up for a third consecutive race and a second time together in an “Evo”. Their debut in the new MY2019 car at the Bangsaen Grand Prix last month ended in the best possible manner with a victory.

Thanks to that win Sandy has now climbed up to second place in the Drivers’ championship standings and, while he will be keen to challenge Henk and Daniel, he also has a gaggle of other drivers snapping at his heels. Martin, who missed the first two races of the year, is now in seventh in the standings and with a big helping of points in Buriram could leapfrog his way much further up the final classification.

It doesn’t stop there either, as, for the first time, we will enter a trio of Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evos. The new third “Evo” has just arrived at our raceshop and this will be driven by Rio Haryanto and Andrew Haryanto, who incidentally aren’t related. They need very little introduction, Rio of course famously made it all the way to Formula 1, while Andrew has enjoyed a very successful recent career in Asian motorsport.

In the Super Car GT3 Teams’ championship B-Quik Racing goes to Buriram with a useful 48-point advantage – but we will need to score big in both races if we are to maintain that cushion to the end. So, we’re really going to have to be on top of our game – but we’re well prepared, hungry and ready for the challenge.

Alongside the trio of GT3 cars, the B-Quik Junior Programme will also be in action in Buriram with five drivers in four cars on the entry list split across three categories.

In the programme’s ‘Tier 1’ Narin Naeosathon and Sathaporn Veerachue will be looking to round out the year on a positive note after a pretty tough season in our Dodge Challenger in TA2 Thailand, while in the entry tier, Adisak Tangphuncharoen and Pongtanu Kamsai (both Honda Brio) in Super Eco and Jerasak (Toyota Vios) in Toyota Motorsport will all be aiming to sign off the year with points and a shot at their respective podiums.

Henk Kiks (No 26 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo): “This is going to be a big, big weekend for us, we have to score big to get the points we need to lockdown both titles – that’s the objective. It’s not going to be an easy weekend though that’s for sure, the gaps are too small for any comfort but we’re ready for the fight. Daniel and I will be working our socks off to hold on to our advantage in the Drivers’ standings and the whole team is going to have to dig deep and come tightly together to get the Teams’ points we need to put the title out of reach. It’s a big weekend too as for the first time we will be running three Evos, that’s going to be something of a warmup for next year when we have even bigger plans for TSS.”

Daniel Bilski (No 26 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo): “It’s been a fantastic season so far in the Evo. Henk and I have been learning the car all year and are ready to push our limits even further in the finale. The finale in Buriram will be an intense fight to the very end, and all of our drivers are intently focused on maximum points. It will be fantastic to have a third R8 with us in Buriram, underlining B-Quik Racing’s commitment to the series. There is everything to play for in the finale, and I can’t wait to get into the car.”

Sandy Stuvik (No 2 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo): “I’m very much looking forward to the final event of the year. After our successes in Bangsaen it will be interesting to see how our new Audi R8 GT3 Evo does on a more traditional circuit. I’m confident that myself and B-Quik Racing team have a competitive formula and we will definitely be giving it everything to finish this year on a high. We have our sights on the target and now it’s only a matter of time until we can put the hammer down again!”

Martin Rump (No 2 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo): “I’m thrilled ahead of our return to Buriram this TSS season! Last time here in the Ultra, a podium finish remained our best result, but we’re certainly ready to hunt for more this time in the Audi R8 LMS 2019! On her debut race in Bangsaen we came out with a win, and I think we can keep on working from that momentum. For all of B-Quik GT3 team, it’s looking promising — the usual double-trouble has been upgraded to a three-car triple-threat! See you there!”

Rio Haryanto (No 27 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo): “First of all, I would like to thank B-Quik Racing and Absolute Racing for this opportunity to be part of the team for the last round of TSS. Buriram is a track that I have been to this year, and where I got my first podium in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia. I’m really looking forward to work with Andrew and the team. Hopefully, together we can give our best and bring home good results.”

Andrew Haryanto (No 27 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo): “I am really happy to be joining Rio Haryanto and B-Quik Racing for the TSS race at Buriram. I’m looking forward to competing and getting back behind the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS GT3. Let’s see what the weekend holds. Rio is a fast driver so I hope to learn from him, and see how I can prepare myself even better for the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup season finale in Malaysia.”
