B-Quik Racing is ready to wrap up its most successful season to date back where it kicked it all off just over seven months ago – Sepang international Circuit – as we now prepare to contest the final round of the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup 2019 this coming weekend.

In fact, there’s going to be an extra twist in Malaysia as this will be the last ever event for the popular single-make series as Audi Sport are calling time after eight seasons and forty-six events, so it’s going to be something of a celebratory weekend as well.

Leading the line for B-Quik Racing will be Henk Kiks and Daniel Bilski in the two 2019 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo machines that we have run this year in Thailand Super Series (TSS).

Both drivers entered the season closing round of Audi Sport’s “Cup” series held here last year plus they now have had a full season of racing in the MY2019 “Evo” version behind them and so will be up to speed and ready to go.

It’s fitting that we conclude the year here as we started off our incredible 2019 at Sepang Circuit back in early April on the occasion of the opening round of the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia where Henk and Daniel combined for the AM class win. That was followed by a return trip a fortnight later for the TSS opener where the duo sensationally bagged an overall win as well as double victory in the AM class.

Those races in Malaysia heralded the start of a glorious season for the Dutch-Australian duo which in the end netted three overall wins in Super Car GT3 (including their first ever victory at the Bangsaen Grand Prix) and six AM class wins as well as the AM class title. Not to forget two AM class wins in Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia.

So, certainly it’s been the best ever season for Henk and Daniel – but this weekend they will be rivals when out on the track contesting the ‘Cup’ races behind the wheel of the #26 and #27 entries respectively.

It will be a poignant weekend as Audi Sport is winding up the Cup series after eight years of always spectacular racing. A trailblazer when it launched in 2012 it is the only championship in the world reserved exclusively for the Audi R8 and the only single make series to use pukka GT3 cars. That means it’s been able to offer drivers from across Asia and the rest of the world the perfect window into top level international sportscar racing.

B-Quik Racing has enjoyed plenty of success in the series as Daniel Bilski was AM champion in 2015 before winning the Masters title the next year.

The championship is reserved for amateur drivers meaning it’s going to provide level playing field so Henk and Daniel will both be gunning for glory.

It’s also going to be a time to catch up with friends and certainly looking for victory will be Andrew Haryanto who joined us last month in Buriram for the final round of TSS. He’s the reigning Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup champion and looking for the title again this year. We wish him good luck!

We would also like to congratulate Audi Sport customer racing Asia on organising a truly excellent series over the past eight years and we look forward to being part of their exciting new plans for 2020 in the shape of the new Audi Sport Asia Trophy.

Henk Kiks (#26 B-Quik Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo): “It’s been a pretty amazing year for B-Quik Racing, it’s our best season ever and I’m excited that we’re going to end the year in Sepang taking part in the last ever races for the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup. After the team wrapped the Thailand Super Series’ titles up in Buriram last month this weekend is going to bit little bit about letting our hair down, having fun and meeting up with friends but of course also staying focused, learning more about the car and pushing hard for a result to sign off the year in good style. We have bigger and very exciting new plans for next year and the team is already focusing on them so this will also be a busy weekend that’s really going to bridge this year with 2020.”

Daniel Bilski (#27 B-Quik Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo): “I’m massively looking forward to the finale this weekend. It’s going to be a very special weekend as it’s the finale for the series so I’m really motivated to finish on the podium. I have a mathematical possibility to secure the final Suzuka 10 Hour seat with Audi Sport customer racing Asia next year, so I will leave nothing behind in pushing for podium results. It’s been an absolutely incredible year so far and it will be fantastic fun to have two B-Quik R8s on the grid this weekend with Henk and myself. I’ve been closely involved with the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup and all of the Audi Sport Customer Racing Asia team since 2012. It’s been a magnificent platform for GT3 racing, with amazing people running the series. The Cup has been very special to me over the years, so I’m really looking forward to one last big weekend with my ‘other’ racing family.”
