B-Quik Absolute Racing is ready and raring for this weekend’s (27-30 Oct) penultimate round of Thailand Super Series (TSS) 2022 with the classification finely balanced on a knife edge and the team headed to Buriram’s Chang International Circuit focused on maxing out on championship points.

Our driver roster has been tweaked slightly since the last round with former Formula One driver and all-round racing legend Marcus Winkelhock being drafted in to the #55 Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II alongside Vincente Floriendo in Super Car GT3.

Meanwhile, in Super Car GTC upcoming German driver Kristof Schöffling will take over the wheel of our new Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and Australian veteran Ian Geekie returns to the team after a hiatus to drive a ‘Gen 1’ Cayman GT4.

We believe these changes give us a very well-rounded lineup as we look to build on the last race here back in September which saw us walk away with a win, podiums and the biggest helping of championship points that put us back into play for the titles after a somewhat testing season opener in Bangsaen.

The remainder of our four strong GT3 roster remain unchanged: Sandy Stuvik and Akash Nandy in the #25 Audi, Henk Kiks and Eshan Pieris in the #26 while Daniel Bilski and Philip Masood in the #27 car arrive off the back of a hard-fought win in the last round. In GTC Adisak Tangphuncharoen continues in the #26 Cayman GT4.

At the championship’s halfway point, in the Super Car GT3 Teams’ standings B-Quik Absolute Racing is on 119 points, just 3 ahead of its closest rival, so it’s ultra-tight and full focus will be on widening that margin ahead of December’s season closer.

In the Super Car GT3 Drivers’ standings Sandy and Akash are now 13 points off the championship leaders and will be targeting the top step of the podium as they look to haul themselves into contention. Daniel and Phillip likewise need to build on their win last time out if they are to elbow their way back into contention.

B-Quik Absolute Racing is supported by B-Quik, Quik Pro, Mobil 1, Bendix, Yuasa, IM and WAC Car Detailing.

Sandy Stuvik: “It has been a closely fought championship so far and I’m very much looking forward to being back behind the wheel of the #25 B-Quik Absolute Audi R8 GT3 evo II with my teammate Akash. We will be giving it our all as always, see you on track!”

Akash Nandy: “Looking forward to being back in action for Round 3 of Thailand Super Series and keeping our strong momentum going after a strong showing at the previous round. The weather forecast shows there could some rain hovering over, that would definitely add to some interesting weather conditions and challenges.”

Daniel Bilski: After securing a much needed 1-2 finish with the team in the last race, we’re coming into the next round hungry for more. We want all three titles, so we have to be on point and execute a perfect weekend. The competition is tough, but we are primed and ready for the battle.”

Philip Massoud: “I am excited for next round in Buriram with B-Quik Absolute in the Audi R8 GT3 evo II. After winning the previous round with my partner Daniel Bilski we have set our goals high and plan to take the necessary steps to achieve them. We believe we are a real contender for the championship and have to thank B-Quik Absolute Racing for providing us a balanced setup.”

Henk Kiks: “We’re really looking forward to going racing again in TSS after the productive trip to the Singapore GP. Our last visit to Buriram a few months back went well and we now have to build on that step up and relentlessly focus on championship points, it’s very tight and we need to be at 110% if we are going to come out on top of the high-level competition here. Aside from the championship situation, I’m just happy to get back in the cockpit and to get out racing.”

Eshan Pieris: “I’m happy to be back racing in Round 3 of TSS driving the #26 Audi with Henk. I am feeling good about the race and looking forward to bringing the team a good result.”

Vincente Floriendo: “I’m glad to be back with B-Quik Absolute Racing after racing in Bangsaen, Buriram and Singapore and I’m looking forward to racing this weekend again in Buriram.”

Markus Winkelhock: “I am really looking forward to my debut in Thailand Super Series. It’s really nice to be going to a new track since a long time. I already watched some onboards on YouTube and it looks a pretty nice circuit I have to say.”

Kristof Schöffling: “I’m extremely excited and supremely confident making my debut in Thailand Super Series in the Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. This car has a lot of capability and I intend to push it to its max.”

Ian Geekie: “Following an extended absence from TSS due to Covid and work/life commitments I am very happy and excited to be joining B-Quik Absolute and Thailand Super Series again for Round 3 at Chang International Circuit.  I am very grateful to Henk and the team for giving me the opportunity to drive their Cayman GT4 in the super competitive GTC Class and for sure it will be a steep learning curve for me to get up to speed but I will give it my best shot. Can’t wait to be back in the ‘Land of Smiles’.”

Adisak Tangphuncharoen: “After a busy last weekend at the Korat Grand Prix, now we’re heading to Buriram. I’m looking forward to TSS. I got a podium in the previous round here so I want do it again. Now I’m ready for this weekend and I’ll do my best.”
