B-Quik Absolute Racing is pleased to announce Iaro Razanakoto and Chanon Asavasangsidhi as the driver line up for the #88 Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for a full year programme in Thailand Super Series (TSS) – Super Car GT4.

This pairing builds on the platform developed last year when Razanakoto joined the team mid-season, driving this car in the then half hour race format of Super Car GTC/GT4.

The 28-year-old racer from Madagascar, who was already a familiar figure in the TSS paddock as he’d been racing Super Compact for several seasons, acquitted himself very well as he got to grips with the new car during his first time at ‘Super Car’ level.

With Super Car GT4 switching to a 1-hour format for 2023 and two drivers able to share cockpit duties that has paved the way for Razanakoto’s former team mate in Super Compact, Asavasangsidhi, to join the team and continue to build on a partnership that’s already enjoyed a lot of success.

Asavasangsidhi started racing ten years ago making his way through club series including Racing Car Thailand, Super One Race and Super Turbo with a string of wins, podiums, poles and titles as well as in endurance racing where a key highlight was winning “Super Endurance 2017” overall.

By 2019 Asavasangsidhi had moved into TSS, racing in Super Compact, where over the past three years he’s enjoyed a lot of winning success, while, in a career that very much mirrors his team mate, Razanakoto, he also made his debut in Super Car GTC/GT4 late season last year scoring a podium finish first time out.

Razanakoto and Asavasangsidhi will contest the full season in Super Car GT4 starting when the 2023 season gets underway at Buriram’s Chang International Circuit immediately after the Songkran Holiday, on 20-23 April.

Iaro Razanakoto: “I am very glad to race again with my teammate ‘Bom’ after racing together in Super Compact for two years. I’ve been racing here in Thailand for four years now and had good results in every race. B-Quik Absolute Racing is giving us a huge opportunity to improve our skills and to be part of the family by our driving experience. My first race with B-Quik Absolute was last year during the two last rounds in Buriram in the sprint races and I could finish P8 overall during my first race in Super Car. This year with a new format for Super Car GT4, we will race for 1 hour together and I hope we can prove to B-Quik Absolute Racing how well we can work together.”

Chanon Asavasangsidhi: “I’m very glad and excited to be a part of the B-Quik Absolute family. After racing together with ‘Bou’ in Super Compact for the past few years it is super nice to be able to continue racing as team mates again as we always make a good team.Trying out the Porsche Cayman GT4 for the first time, we’ve had two sessions of testing at both Chang and Bira circuits. I can say that the car felt very comfortable to drive and we managed to make good progress. I’m very much looking forward to getting to know and work with the team and getting ready for this new season.”
