ANTONELLI MOTORSPORT READY TO KICK-START INTERNATIONAL GT OPEN AND GT CUP OPEN EUROPE CHALLENGE

Team Antonelli Motorsport is ready to kick the season off in France, as the first out of seven events of the International GT Open calendar will be held this coming weekend (April 27th and 28th) at the Paul Ricard track.

Daniel Zampieri and Alessio Rovera will represent the northern Italy-based squad in the Pro class, where they will share a brand-new Mercedes-AMG GT3 car. Reigning Italian GT Champion Zampieri makes his return to the International GT Open after having claimed the GTS title in 2012 and the overall crown two years after. 23-year old Rovera started early this month his 2019 Italian GT campaign taking the fourth place in Monza for Antonelli Motorsport.

Former Auto GP driver Giuseppe Cipriani will contest the AM category in another Mercedes as well as Davide Roda. Both have already entered together the Blanpain GT Series Endurance opener in Monza a couple of weeks ago.

Furthermore team Antonelli Motorsport will field a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo for Glauco Solieri in the brand-new GT Cup Open Europe Championship that starts on the same weekend. The Italian-Swiss racer finished last season the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East as a runner-up.

Action at the Paul Ricard circuit will come alive on Friday with the free practice sessions. Qualifying 1 will start on Saturday morning, followed by Race 1 of GT Cup Open Europe Championship and International GT Open scheduled respectively at 13 and 15.30. Qualifying 2 will get underway on Sunday morning with the second race of the GT Cup Open Europe Championship at 12.40 and the International GT Open Race 2 at 15.
