BMW TEAM RLL STARTS THE IMSA ENDURANCE SEASON AT THE ROLEX 24 AT DAYTONA

After two wins in the previous two years, BMW Team RLL is eager to bring home its next success at the Rolex 24 at Daytona (USA) in 2021. On 30th/31st January, two MOTUL BMW M8 GTEs with strong driver pairings will contest the GTLM class. In the #24 car, John Edwards (USA), Jesse Krohn (FIN) and Augusto Farfus (BRA) are eager to repeat their Daytona win from last year. They will be supported by BMW works driver Marco Wittmann (GER). In the #25 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE, Bruno Spengler (CAN), Connor De Phillippi (USA), Philipp Eng (AUT) and Timo Glock (GER) will take it in turns at the wheel. BMW Team RLL will contest only the four IMSA endurance classics at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Road Atlanta (all USA) in 2021, which make up the Michelin Endurance Cup. Edwards and Krohn won that title in 2020.

NTE SPORT RACES INTO 2021 WEATHERTECH SEASON WITH AUDI R8 LMS

One year after making their IMSA debut in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, NTE Sport is climbing up the motorsport ranks to compete in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, racing an Audi R8 LMS in this month’s Rolex 24 At Daytona. The team, led by owner Paul Mata will run the No. 42 machine in the 24 hour endurance racing event, driven by Alan Metni, Andrew Davis, J.R. Hildebrand, and Don Yount. 

GLOBAL PROGRAM IN 2021 FOR AUDI SPORT CUSTOMER RACING

Audi Sport customer racing will continue its international program in 2021 to complement its customers’ commitments. For the sixth year in succession, Audi will contest the Intercontinental GT Challenge, which will be held in Asia, America, Europe and South Africa next year. The Nürburgring 24 Hours will also be a fixture on the Audi Sport calendar for the 13th consecutive year. The brand will face the sporting competitions of the coming year with 15 Audi Sport drivers.

MERCEDES-AMG MOTORSPORT GETS THE SEASON UNDERWAY WITH A PAIR OF 24-HOUR HIGHLIGHTS

The start of the 2021 motorsport year already has some major events in store: with the Dubai 24 Hours (14-16 January) and the Rolex 24 At Daytona (28-31 January), Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and the Customer Racing Teams are facing two highlights right away. Strong driver and team line-ups are in place to make the start of the season, in which Mercedes-AMG will again be competing for race wins and titles all over the world, a successful one.
