K-PAX Racing, entering its 15th season of operation, announced Monday an exciting extension of its legacy by transitioning to Lamborghini Squadra Corse for the 2021 season. The ADAC GT Masters will be embarking on its 15th season in 2021 with a field of more than 30 super sports cars from eight different brands. By mid-December, 20 teams had submitted their entries for the International German GT Championship, the ADAC GT Masters, and have thus secured places on the grid. Lamborghini Squadra Corse has unveiled its roster of Factory Drivers for the 2021 season, which will see the return of long-time Lamborghini servant Mirko Bortolotti and the graduation of recently crowned British GT champion Sandy Mitchell into the ranks. Also stepping up is the Lamborghini Young Driver of the year Raul Guzman, who will become the development test driver of the Huracán GT3 Evo.
Minnesota based JDC-Miller MotorSports in partnership with Mustang Sampling Racing confirmed today that Loïc Duval, Tristan Vautier and Sébastien Bourdais will return to the program for 2021. Audi Sport customer racing can look back on a list of outstanding successes at the end of a highly compressed season with its customers. Even though the number of races worldwide in the 2020 pandemic year was down by around 37 percent, the Audi Sport customer racing models were similarly successful in their categories as in the previous year.
In an extremely thrilling finale of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC), Audi Sport Team WRT improved from seventh place to second position. Mirko Bortolotti/Frédéric Vervisch/Charles Weerts crossed the finish line 22 hundredths of a second behind the winners in the rain chaos behind the safety car. However, in addition to the joy about the improvement in the course of the race, there was also disappointment in the Audi camp: victory seemed within reach shortly before the end.
