BMW CUSTOMER RACING TEAMS OPEN 2021 SRO AMERICA SEASON AT SONOMA RACEWAY

BMW Customer Racing teams will open the 2021 SRO America season at Sonoma Raceway, in Northern California, this weekend, March 5 – 7. The 2.385-mile, 12-turn road course in the hills of California’s wine country will host Rounds 1 and 2 of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS as well as the supporting GT America, Pirelli GT4 America, and TC America series.

GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM GIVE YOUTH A CHANCE: RETURN TO THE GT WORLD CHALLENGE TAKING SHAPE

The thorough groundwork done by the GRT Grasser Racing Team pays off once again. After the recent announcement by the outfit of its line-up for the 2021 ADAC GT Masters, preparations for the GT World Challenge Europe are now also taking concrete shape. The Austrians will be making their return to the Endurance Cup with two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs. Lamborghini Juniors Tim Zimmermann and Kikko Galbiati have been named as the first of the two driver pairings who will contest the prestigious GT3 championship. The focus for the young duo will be the Silver Cup.

DXDT RACING BRINGS FULL SQUAD TO SONOMA RACEWAY FOR SRO AMERICA SEASON START

The 2021 SRO America season begins this week at Sonoma Raceway with a series of double headers for the GT World Challenge America, GT America, and TC America, and DXDT Racing has a full squad of sports cars ready to hit the ground running. The team’s fleet of five cars will proudly sport the branding of longtime partner CrowdStrike Racing under their new mantra “Win as One.”

GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM CONFIRMS ADAC GT MASTERS DRIVER LINE-UP

We’re all set for the 2021 ADAC GT Masters. Bring it on! Spring is fast approaching and GRT Grasser Racing Team are more than ready for their first major offensive in this hard-fought GT3 series. The Austrian outfit will field four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs for the first time since its inception. The driver pairing for the car with start number 11, one of the team’s four entries, has just been confirmed with the signing of Mike David Ortmann and Clemens Schmid. They now complete the line up alongside the two Lamborghini Young Driver-protégés, Tim Zimmermann and Steijn Schothorst, in GRT Grasser Racing’s new junior team.

KÜS TEAM BERNHARD SIGNS DEFENDING CHAMPION CHRISTIAN ENGELHART FOR 2021 ADAC GT MASTERS

Küs Team Bernhard has a prominent newcomer: The racing team of two-time Le Mans winner and FIA World Endurance Champion, Timo Bernhard, has acquired the services of the defending champion in the ADAC GT Masters, Christian Engelhart (34/Starnberg). The German will share a Porsche 911 GT3 R with Porsche works driver Thomas Preining (22/A). The team disclosed this secret exclusively on Sunday in the latest edition of PS on Air – The Ravenol ADAC GT Masters Talk. The opening round of this season’s German GT Championship takes place from 14th to 16th May in Oschersleben.

TAYLOR HAGLER SET FOR ACURA NSX GT3 EVO TEST AT THE THERMAL CLUB

After recently announcing her return to SRO America competition, Taylor Hagler will have her first official test  in the the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo at The Thermal Club on February 26th ahead of the March season opener at Sonoma Raceway.  Hagler joins the 2019 SRO World Challenge GT America Championship-winning Racers Edge Motorsports team alongside fellow HPD GT3 Driver Academy graduates Dakota Dickerson and Jacob Abel. Hagler will contest the full  2021 SRO season, which is set to open at Sonoma March  5-7.
