BRILLIANT SECOND CONSECUTIVE TOP-FIVE IMSA FINISH FOR UNITED AUTOSPORTS

United Autosports lies seventh in the four-race Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup after recording an excellent fifth place in the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Sebring last night (17 Mar). NISSAN SCORES FIRST OVERALL SEBRING WIN SINCE 1994

There was only one driver lineup entered in this year’s 66th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts made up entirely of past overall race winners. It was only fitting, then, that lineup – comprised of Pipo Derani, Nicolas Lapierre and Johannes van Overbeek in the No. 22 Tequila Patrón ESM Nissan DPi – combined Saturday to give Nissan its first win in the endurance classic in almost 25 years.

FERRARI ON SEBRING 12 HOUR PODIUM

The second race of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season (second round of the North American Endurance Cup) extended a 66-year tradition as Sebring International Raceway played host for the annual 12 Hours of Sebring. Perfect conditions saw the race run at a frantic pace in the opening stages before being slowed by a series of caution periods in the second half of the event. As darkness fell, the final two hours of the race featured a sprint to the finish with Ferrari once again well figuring in the final results.

VICTORY AND THIRD PLACE FOR PORSCHE AT SEBRING

The Porsche 911 RSR has scored its first win of the IMSA SportsCar Championship season at the Sebring International Raceway in Florida. At the 12 Hours of Sebring, the oldest and toughest sports car race in the USA, Patrick Pilet (France), Nick Tandy (Great Britain) and Frédéric Makowiecki (France) won the GTLM class with the 510 hp race car from Weissach after a heart-stopping finale on Saturday.

IMSA SEBRING 12 HOURS QUALIFYING ROUND UP

Cadillac DPi-V.R on Pole for Sebring 12 Hour Under perfect Florida weather conditions of sunshine and 80-degrees, the Cadillac four-some took to the 3.74-mile, 17-turn historic race track for the 15-minute qualifying session this afternoon. AFS/PR1 MATHIASEN MOTORSPORTS READY TO ATTACK THE 12 HOURS OF SEBRING

The AFS/PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports team will be hitting the track this weekend at the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring presented by Advanced Auto Parts, the second round of the 2018 IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship. Drivers Sebastian Saavedra, Gustavo Yacaman and Roberto Gonzalez will pilot the #52 Ligier JS P217 at the grueling endurance race as they look to improve on what was a difficult weekend at the season opener at Rolex 24 at Daytona where the team placed 12th in the P category.

ESM READY TO FACE THE COMPETITION OF THE TWELVE HOURS OF SEBRING

One of the most challenging events on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship calendar takes place this weekend in Sebring, Florida, just two hours away from Tequila Patrón ESM’s base in Riviera Beach, Florida. The 2016 race winners will return to Sebring International Raceway with a two car assault, with sights set on claiming victory at the 66th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
