MAX VERSTAPPEN WINS HIS FIRST GRAND PRIX

It’s a very special feeling. Of course I didn’t expect to win; after the Mercedes pair crashed then you’re targeting a podium, but in the end to come out on top, it’s incredible. To hear the Dutch national anthem for the first time in Formula One, I have to think about my dad for sure and I heard he was crying, so yeah it’s unbelievable.

Maiden wins for Randle and Collard as Bortoleto walks away unscathed from airborne crash

It was a day of fast starts, first-time winners and one very big crash at Rockingham on Sunday (1 May), as Douglas Motorsport’s Thomas Randle and Carlin’s Ricky Collard made up multiple positions into the first corner to take race two and three victory respectively. In the opening race of the day, Double R Racing’s Enzo Bortoleto went end-over-end at Chapman Curve but got out of his car unharmed, a great testament to the strength of the Tatuus chassis.

Both drivers drove a strong and trouble-free race, which finished under a safety car deployed four laps from the end of the race. Renault e.Dams stand first in the Teams' Championship with 165 points, while Sebastien places second with Nico in sixth place for the Drivers' Championship.

A podium and an especially good performance in curtain raiser for Dorian Boccolacci

Eager to race again after the long months of winter, Dorian Boccolacci’s season restarted at the Motorland Aragon circuit with a lot of positives. As well as 2nd place in Race 2 of the first round of the 2016 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, the raw performance and synergy with the Tech 1 Racing team are very encouraging signs for a season that has just begun.

Lanan Racing’s Toby Sowery and Carlin’s Colton Herta took their first BRDC British Formula 3 Championship in association with Duo wins on Sunday at Brands Hatch, with victory in races two and three of the weekend (16/17 April) respectively. Sowery now leads the championship from Ricky Collard, who enjoyed a consistent day to move into second in the overall standings.

Leist takes lights-to-flag victory in opening race of the weekend at Brands

Double R Racing’s Matheus Leist took a controlled win in race one of the weekend at Brands Hatch having led the field away from pole position, coming home ahead of Carlin’s Ricky Collard and Lanan Racing’s Toby Sowery, who now assumes the championship lead with his third-place finish. There was plenty of drama behind the podium finishers however as a late race rain shower made the Grand Prix circuit slick, catching out a number of drivers and jumbling up the order.

2016 Chinese Grand Prix Renault review

Renault Sport Formula One Team was unable to move up the order in an actionpacked 2016 Formula 1 Pirelli Chinese Grand Prix where both drivers finished the race, but finishing positions of seventeen for Kevin Magnussen and twentysecond for Jolyon Palmer illustrated that the team wasn’t able to harness its performance potential at the Shanghai International Circuit today.
